Hi all,

Just got myself a bit confused over whether the basic escape package at SBP at $4,500 then needs tax adding on top of it?

Can anyone confirm whether there is still tax to pay or if the $4,500 is it?

Sorry, I'm a useless Brit! :upsidedow

Not got my budget on me but from memory tax is included.

Yep, just checked our contract and it is $4500 inc tax :thumbsup2

YAY!:cool1:* That is great news!* I was secretly nervous about how much the tax would add up to!* Are there any other crazy service charges or anything that get added in that I need to budget for?

Some things have a 20% service charge along with 6.5% tax. I'll look at our contract and post tomorrow for you :goodvibes

Only if you add on stuff. If you go strictly with the contract, your fee to Disney will stay at $4500.

I am adding on one bottle of sparkling cider ($24), rose petals for the Unity Candle table ($25), rental of 3 hurricane globes ($15 plus tax), and two hours of extra photography ($350). That's it!

If Disney sets up a Unity Candle table or table for sand ceremony is there an additional charge or is that included?

They charge a set-up fee for everything. So - I am having my MIL ride over with DH (if she stays onsite, otherwise she'll have to hustle on over early, LOL) and set up the Unity Candle setting as I made it myself for under $10 vs. paying $65 to DFTW. My planner even said "you need someone to set up the Unity Candle setting prior to the ceremony."

I did make an error in my post - the rose petals are for the cake table, sorry! I may change them to being on the ground though as we are taking our cake with us to lunch and will have it cut there.

For my Unity Candle setting, I have some gauzy fabric that I will have my MIL spread out nicely on the table - like in the pics of the Dessert Party table linens? Kindy bunched and fluffy at the bases of the candles.

That's good to know, as it's nearly another $300 to add on if the tax was still to pay.

While we're on the subject of sand ceremonies, we're planning on getting one from a different vendor (not Disney), so effectively we'd bringing it ourselves, would I have to get my mum or someone to take the bottles and sand down to SBP and place it on the table to avoid a set up charge? Does anyone know what the set up charge would be if Disney did this? And presumably we'd then have to drop the kit off at Francks prior to the wedding date to have this happen?

We bought the mickey swarovski candle set from disney, and there was no setup fee - just paid for the set and used their holder at no charge. They also put out our guest book and pen for us.

If it's not much setup, I don't know that they'd bother charging you.

Hi, this is on my ever growing list of questions to ask our planner Amy! I've found a beautiful set that includes an extra vase for my parents so we can include them in the ceremony too. The seller is going to ship it to the Boardwalk for us, and I was going to ask my BFF Kirsty to set it up on the morning if Disney won't, or if they charge. It is only Tim, me and my parents together in the morning (no bridesmaids or anyone else) so she would be able to do it.

We've got things we would like to give out (favours and a bag of goodies for the ladies) and I'm trying to decide whether to take them to the GF ready for lunch or give them out at the dinner the night before. Do we need to take anything like those to Franks or would it be just things for the ceremony?

Right, had a look and it seems as if everything extra has a service charge and tax.

We brought our favors to Franks and Tanis brought them to the cake cutting for us. We gave out individual gifts the night before at dinner.

Is that from Disney Floral?

Yes - now proudly on display in our china cabinet :lovestruc
