Escape + Outside Photography

What happens if you want other prints or enlargements or anything like that if you don't get a disc? I'm actually thinking about doing an MK bridal portrait session, so maybe I won't need a disc between all the pictures I'll be getting between the two.

If you want other prints or enlargements of anything Disney shoots, you will pay through the nose:

Disney's Print Prices
• 4x5: $12
• 4x6: $13
• 5x7: $20
• 8x10: $30
• 11x14: $55
• 16x20: $85
• 20x24: $115
• 30x40: $250
• 8 wallets: $15
• 16 wallets* $24

*same image

If you do the MK portrait session you will get 12 pictures in a portfolio and one loose 4x6-inch print of every image. The Escape photography package comes with 20 4x6-inch prints in an album and no loose prints. So you'll get 32 photos total, plus all the loose MK pictures.

Wowwww, my jaw just sat open for a good five minutes. So maybe in the long run it's just worth it to pay the extra for the disc? :confused3 I have the best compact photo printer and I can print out as many 4x6 or smaller as I want, so paying $15 for 8 wallets I can do myself and $13 for 1 picture I can do myself just seems completely insane to me. But with the no loose prints, that would mean if you want any for frames and whatever else you have to order extras right? I've always found the way they word what you get photo wise confusing. :headache:

Right - unless you get the disc, if you want any prints besides the ones in the album (for the wedding) or the loose 4x6-inch MK shoot pix, you have to order them from Disney.

I guess if you only wanted a few prints, it would still be cheaper than buying the disc, but for me, I like getting huge prints/canvas gallery wraps and making coffee table books on Blurb.com so I need the digital images.

I just talked to my WC today about photography. Since we're having an outside photographer we won't be able to have the Disney photographer there as well (someone told me we could :sad2:). Also, I asked if I could at least have the empty album. They told me no because they don't want another photographer's pictures in their albums. I'm really kind of pissed about that part because I paid for that album in the package!

My mom is paying for my Escape wedding, and when she agreed to it, I think she thought the $5000 got you more than it does. I feel like every day I'm telling her "Well this is going to be this much more money..." etc. Is Disney photography really that bad? I don't want to have to add another expense if I don't have to. Or is it just getting the extra pictures and whatnot being so expensive that bothers everyone? Does anyone know how much a cd with the pictures would cost?

I will say this- My DFi are splitting the cost 50/50 but that was for the DFTW cost- not additional fees. I was the one who just HAD to have David Chapman so I have a little cookie jar (it's actually a Disney castle) and I have been throwing in Christmas money and birthday money and I have money left over- I am looking for other upgrades to my wedding!;)
