HI all.

Could anyone tell me what type of ride this is? I'm a bit of a scaredy pants and worried whether this ride is for me or not. I have done the Harry Potter ride which was fine apart from the whomping willow part.:crazy2: To put it into context, rock n roller coaster made me cry  I was so scared.

TIA Deb

Thank you.

Can I just ask, does it have any big drops or anything silly like that?

you do a minor drop when the ride first starts off.
that is the only, oh my i didn't expect this, on the ride.

it's probably all of 5 - 7 seconds of action on that drop...

If you can do Forbidden Journey than you should be able to ride Gringotts. Gringotts is difficult to describe but is not nearly as thrilling as Forbidden Journey. If you are at all concerned with the drop, walk the que line and know the drop is no taller than the stairs you climb to get to the ride vehicles.

I'm going to agree with everyone else, you should be fine with Gringotts. My best way of describing it is if Spiderman and Revenge of the Mummy had a baby. It's got features of both it's parents but doesn't excel in either area like it's parents. The cars ride on rollercoaster track like ROTM and the cars themselves are motion based like Spiderman but the rollercoaster portions aren't as intense or long as ROTM and the simulator movements aren't as wild as Spiderman. It's a watered down version of both.

Big ride chicken chiming in here: I LOVED Gringotts, and I get scared and/or get motion sickness at the drop of a hat! It's got just the right amount of thrill and wow factor for me. Try to request seats in the 1rst row if you can, and enjoy!

There is some simulated stuff, but I just close my eyes if it bothers me. The drop seems long, because it's in the dark. However, it was over just as I had a chance to brace for it. I'm a chicken too, and it was fine.

Perception is everything.

We find the drop very small and too short if anything.

But it is a fun ride and shouldn't be missed..........:)
