Long story short, my brother is having an escape wedding. Both him and his brides nieces and nephews will not be attending the wedding due to the max guests allowed. If he books a dessert party(which he definitely wants) can he have over 20 people at the dessert party booked through DFTW or would he have to book through Disney Catered Events.

Thanks!

He would need to book through Disney Catered Events. DFTW won't plan a private Escape reception that's bigger than the Escape guest max because they want you to bump up to Wishes in that scenario.

Thank you! Thanks what I figured.

I think he should ask his coordinator. I had a similar situation where we did not invite my husband's nephews to the wedding (because they aren't that close, we were out of space, and the two times we have seen them over the last few years, they were horribly behaved). We were allowed to have them at the Dessert party. But, there were only 2. It doesn't hurt to ask. And- both boys were perfectly behaved :-) but I still think they would have been bored at our wedding and brunch.

Oh- and to clarify, we went through DFTW for the Dessert party.

Thank you! I will definitely let them know to ask. The worst they can say is "No". We would have more than 2 though...more like 5 kids on his side and 3 on hers. No big deal though if DFTW can't do it.
