OK, I need advice! We're trying to pin down a time for our ceremony and, as you know, that can get tricky with the limited lunch options and 5:30 dinner seating time.

This is a schedule I've worked out - can you tell me if if it's too tight or I'm forgetting something?

3:30 meet for pictures

5:00 Ceremony at Sea Breeze Point

6:15 leave for dinner

6:30 Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse (taking our chances that they seat us together)

8:15? leave for Illuminations

8:25ish meet at International Gateway for Illuminations Dessert Party (in my fantasy we're having a Wishes wedding and I can have a reception ;) )

Thanks!! :)

I love the illuminations reception idea, how many guests can you have at that with an escape wedding?

Sounds looks like a great time to me, nice pick with the Yachtsman too

I think the pictures and ceremony timing will work out. I am assuming you will be doing the bulk of your wedding photos before the ceremony.

Not to be negative, BUT I'm not sure about the dinner and DP. When I was planning to have my dinner at the YSH, I seem to remember someone suggesting at least 2 hours to eat. Maybe someone who has had the "reception dinner" at YSH can give you more insight into how long it takes to eat dinner there. They really make this ceremony, reception, then DP thing tricky for the Escape weddings! I think a 5pm wedding at SBP will be gorgeous!!

The Escape weddings have 2 options for their DP: Japan (which only holds 10 people??) and Morocco. I think Escape brides must book their DPs through their WP now. I am having my DP at Morocco. The maximum guest count for Morocco is 30. While Escape brides can only have 18 guests at the ceremony, you can (at least I've been told) have more people at your "reception" dinner and DP. HTH!

Now that's interesting - there was a girl on here who had to change her whole wedding to a Wishes b/c they told her she couldn't have more people at the Dessert Party than at the ceremony because it was like having a cheaty reception. Then again, what with the Great Peanut Butter Cake Filling Fiasco of '07, I guess it all depends on who you talk to! :rotfl:

Thanks for the advice about Yachtsman!

You're exactly right... It depends on who you talk to, how you phrase it, how confident you are, day of the week, phase of the moon... :rotfl:

You're welcome on the YSH... hopefully someone knows for sure.

Yep! my coordinator told me I could have more than 20 at our DP. But I'm wondering if this is because we're doing the DP as a welcome party instead of on our wedding night? Who knows!
