VMK added a huge batch of words to the database, but they typoed a few of them.

'palor' should probably be 'pallor' (an unhealthy pale appearance).

"supercalifragilisticexpialadocious" is actually supposed to be spelled as "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". ('i', not 'a', before the last 'd'.) This typo is somewhat ironic, as the new Mary Poppins musical on Broadway contains a version of the "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" song which spells the word several times.

There are three more typos which happened because whoever edited the database had "smart quotes" turned on:

they’ve
we’d
‘Tis

The problem is that these are using ‘ ’ instead of ' and VMK will not let you type smart quotes, so these words cannot be typed in VMK until they correct the dictionary.

I'm just happy that they corrected Y'all in the dictionary. They're working on it.

How do you know how to spell that? :teeth:

Oh Lime, :rotfl2: is it as ironic as your own mistake?

Better double check what you wrote, vs. what you spelled, here my friend! :lmao:

Thanks for the wonderful laugh this morning!

I think Palor may very well be parlor - a room for the reception and entertainment of visitors to one's home; living room.
a room, apartment, or building serving as a place of business for certain businesses or professions: funeral parlor; beauty parlor.
There are also many words that are not words at all- oohdelally ( I love it, but what on earth does it mean? ), rawr-(? 'nough said), remy - is this a person?, scaborous (maybe scabrous meaning lewd, wanton, improper?), uber (another person or character?).

So so happy about grrr pirate: and group, strong, sugar, and afternoon and many more! :)

Ok so after reading http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1528437, I have figured out that oohdelally is something from a song and that rawr is a roar.

My friend got excited about Rawr because its the main thing she says but on vmk she used to type it as "roar" and i asked her what the difference was and she just said there is a big difference in the meaning....i think meaning roar is like what a lion does or smething and than rawr like "You took my pen? raawwrrr"

Remy -- Character from Ratatouille
Uber -- means "the ultimate" ie: Woah, that was uber cool...
Scaborous -- yet another VMK spelling error ;) I think this is supposed to be scabrous. Gotta have something to yell while you are playing Pirates.

So should I change my signature here to read "Pink is Woman; hear me RAWR" ?? LOL!! :rotfl:

Well that will be a great change from some of the things that have been yelled at me in Pirates :rotfl2:

I also want wronger and wrongest removed as they aren't words

How long have you been able to say oohdelally on VMK? I just noticed it today.

That's a definite possibility. But like ElectricLime I assumed it to be a misspelling of pallor, as in "Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding" from the Haunted Mansion. On the other hand....can we even SAY cadaverous? Betrays? Aura? Foreboding? I guess it wouldn't make much sense to be able to say pallor but none of the words that go with it. :headache:
