Error on Completed Vacations points total--has this happened to you?

I was just checking the member site to see if my waitlist for BWV has come through yet for March and I noticed that there was an error in my completed vacations section.:scared:

The night of 11/28 I booked at HHI using part developer points (15) and part regular points (18). That night should have been 33 points total. The member site is showing that reservation completed using 65 points.

I called MS immediately and the CM got a supervisor who said it is just an error on the site and that my available points are correct (which I confirmed). They are mailing me out a hard copy of my points history which should confirm that my account is correct since they don't know how long the site will have the error.

Has anyone else had this happen? What is going on?
 
We've been hearing a lot of this kind of thing lately. I suspect they have been messing with the web site again. I can't figure out why the website should be different from the "official" computers!!! Why isn't it all the same system?
 
I had something very similar happen recently after completing a stay. Member Services suggested waiting a couple of days and it should straighten out and reflect the correct number of points for the stay. It did correct itself after about a week. I'm still having problems with banked points. They show as going out of one year and are not reflected as coming in the following year. The totals are correct for both years, but the details are not correct. Member Services assures me that they are showing up properly in their system. :headache:
 
Yes I have problems with my online account, :sad2: for the past week my points have been incorrect on the internet but when I call MS they say their system shows my points are ok and that the systems are not linked. :confused:

MS says don't worry many people have complained that their points shown on the websit are wrong???? :confused:
 

My statement showed that I still have 12 points available to bank but I really don't. We booked a week at BCV using day by day (when that was necessary) and they modified the reservation but didn't deduct the points. Sort of.... when I called MS they said that I should go ahead and bank them but when I tried, I got a message saying that I had no points to bank. I knew that I didn't really have any so just let the imaginary points expire.
 
I have had many problems with Disney getting my point count wrong. Luckily I kept track of how many points I used and how many I had remaining.

This year was complicated because I had developer points and I bought points from someone else then banked them. I had to be careful which points I used so that nothing expired.

On three different occasions this year, they could not find my transferred points. They also did not use my developer points as I had requested for one vacation, leaving me at risk for losing them.

They straightened everything out after much time on the telephone. But if I had not known exactly how many points I should have had and had not kept a record of my transactions and what I had requested, I would have "lost" those points and never known.

It made me very frusturated and committed to carefully keeping records because MS definitely does mess up.

I hope no one else has my experience but I think it is really important to know not to rely on MS to get it right.

OP here--I guess I feel a bit reassured that I'm not the only one, but on the other hand I feel like I cannot trust MS.

This is sad considering how much we all pay for these 'services'.

After I discovered this, I went poking around on the site and also found a mistake with my bankable points. Apparently MS did not use points from one of the nights on my original AKV reservation to make the switch to my current reservations at the 7 month mark. I had to call and get those 'reassigned'. The CM told me that it was something that should have been caught when making the switch.

I'm still learning the system, the HHI reservation was out first trip. I have very little, if any, faith in MS now. :sad2:
 
Just back from Vero and VWL. My history also stated that these stays took more points than they shoud have. I also called and MS had the correct point costs which my activity report confirmed. Not sure what is going on here but is seems to be wide spread.
 
yes- that happened to me also. I called and confirmed that my avail. points was correct. they said it was just an error on the site. it was corrected about a week later.
 
I just verified my account and it doesn't show my developer points, I guess I will call MS tomorrow and see what's going on.:confused3
 
Same here. We just returned from a trip and it showed that we were charged twice for the first nite. I called MS and they don't show that on their system at all. My available points add up correctly so I guess that all is well but it is frustrating when you think they have taken more points out of your account than you have actually used. :headache:
 
I called Monday to reserver our week at AKV in Nov and the CM started reading back my point balance and they are all messed up, they show I still have 175 points in 2009 when it should be 0. Now I'd love to keep them, but I'm assuming they fix it sometime.
