my dh and i are of larger proportions (lol) wonder if there are any weight restrictions on the rides, we nearly sank the boat ride at legoland with two of us and two kids in the boat ( kids are normal sized) we are planning to loose weight before we go but just wondered...

thanks sandra, im panicing abotu the amount of walking now too altho we walk the dog every day about 3 miles im guessing it will be more than that at the parks will be glad of those shows to have a sit down LOL

well, regarding the walking: yes, you do walk a lot, but you can limit it by touring the parks organised, i.e. doing the attractions land per land, and not always running from Frontierland to Tomorrowland to Adventureland and back :)
And don't forget to use the train for transportation!

Also, quite some rides give you some time to sit, like it's a small world and Pirates of the Carribean, and then there are the shows.
And if it doesn't rain, it's great to just sit on a bench, enjoy the background music, the nice landscaping and to people watch!

There are 3 rides where a full 'over the head' harness is used - Space Mountain, Rock n Roller Coaster and Indiana Jones. Some people (very few I would have thought) may find themselves too large to fit into these harnesses - but these are also 'proper' roller coasters that you may not want to ride anyway! Memory fails as to whether there is a sample seat at the entrance to the rides so that you can check before queing - but the harness are pretty much industry standard so you've ever worn one in Thorpe Park or Alton Towers then you shouldn't have any trouble.

If it's of any help, I'm 6 foot 1 & weigh about 22 stone & had no problems at all in riding all three of those rides back in March when we went. I also managed to get on the Orbitron with my 3 year old (was a bit of a squeeze but we managed it ok with the safety belt secured too.

Hope that helps to re-assure you.

I second FHT, im 5ft 10, 21st and my husband is large too and we rode RocknRoller coaster, space mountain, indy, we didnt have a problem with anything we went on.

Don't panic, enjoy and have a great trip!!

The last time we went to DLP i was 20 stone and got on everything fine so don't worry. Have a wonderful time :thumbsup2
