I noticed the seat belt thing also. I missed what happened to the little boy's leg. What did he do to himself?

I agree next weeks episode will be good, very difficult for me to watch, because of my losing my sons prematurely, but I know I will be glued to the screen anyway, with tissues in hand!

Ok, what did I miss? exept for last night. I fell asleep. But I thought Luka died in Africa.

Carter went over to try to find Luka's body and found that his life had been spared because they thought he was a priest. That's how Carter ended up back over there.

Luka was in the hospital with Malaria, and then they showed him at home a few times. I think he is just now back working. That girl he was involved with came back with him, but I think she left. I think she is the one that gave Abby the dear John letter.

My answer is confusing me so I better clear it up a bit

Luka was in the Hospital at County for a while.
When carter found he was very near death. The episode where Carter went looking for him was very good.


Oh and about last night...

I don't hate Abby, I just hate how their relationship made both of them act. I loved her "were not that OK" line at the end. I'm glad to see they can still be friends. The way she and Luka ended was so messy and I think they can just now have a real conversation.


OK so who should Luka end up with? Maybe the lady from the red cross in Africa that he tried to hook Carter up with.

who else here thinks Carter will end up being a single dad?

I had to rewind the tape after it was over to find out exactly what the kid did to his knee ... he put stitches in his knee by himself And if you missed the line where Sam says to Carter "I can't believe he sutured his knee", ya missed it (like me !)

I found myself yelling at the TV when Luka put the sleeping kid in the back seat and neither he or the Mom buckled him up

I found last night to be OK, but not overly exciting. I was very upset when they killed off Dr. Romano a few episodes back ... he was kind of the the last of the original crew that was at least amusing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was a little bothered by the seatbelt thing. I said something while watching and my dh said "maybe he was awake enough to belt himself in". I don't think so.

I really liked last nights episode, it was so nice to see Carter and Luka smiling, they have both been so miserable, and better yet, to see them smiling at each other!!! I like Abby too, but just not with them, she needs to be alone for awhile. I also hope Luka is staying for Alex and not for his mother.

Ewwwwww, the neck crack, that was awful! Poor Pratt. He had a rotten day, but everyone on ER has at least 1 of those episodes where everything goes wrong.

Where was Chen last night, is she still out of the country for her parents car accident??

Technically Romano was not an original, he didn't come on until after William H. Macy left. Now there was a character I really liked, who I wish could have stayed, but his movie career was too big I guess. I also like the guy in the bike shorts who ran the ER for a short while (can't remember his name, Michael Ironside or something like that??). I don't think we see enough of Anspaugh either.

I was wondering this too, the whole time Pratt was hitting on/sleeping with Galants sister. Maybe his getting 'played' will make him appreciate Chen more, but I hope she comes back soon because I really enjoyed her on the show.

Interesting episode! Does anyone think it's possible that Carter is NOT the father of this baby? Back in Africa, his girlfriend was seen kissing another man at the table, correct? Also, I find myself worrying about HIV........ Could she be infected? I don't know, I just have some doubts about the future of this new-found "family". Am I just a downer or does anyone have similar thoughts??

CJK, what an excellent point. Abbey did say something like "did he get her pregnant the minute he got there? Also about the seatbelt thing, it seems pretty realistic to me that someone, even medical personnel, might not seatbelt their kid, even though it is a law. We see it done everyday and this show sure isn't documentary on child safety Also, about the whole medical personnel should know better vibe, I do believe that the occupation that has the highest number of smokers is the nursing profession-go figure.

My DH noticed the seat belt thing right away too. Well, we sure know these shows are not supposed to be role models for us, huh? Where was Susan tonight also?

ha! I missed that too (susan being sick). I also missed what the kid did to his knee. Did he cut it and then try to sutcher it? or did he just try to sew up some skin, I missed the whole thing, my boyfriend and I were looking at eachother like 'what just happened'.

Man I need to get a TiVo so when I miss that stuff we can go back.

I missed this episode (fell asleep on the couch ... again!) and forgot to put the tape in for sleep insurance like I usually do.

Like you are all talking about the seatbelts, I had something that irked me on the last episode I saw..... someone (I think it was the new med student) took a cell phone call in the trauma room ..... don't hospitals have those signs all over the place - no cells beyond this point due to equipment, etc ??? Just one of those things I happened to notice
