EPS question?

Hi, guys. I've heard great things about you from the wedding board, so I thought you might be able to answer a technical question for me. An old co-worker of mine was nice enough to design the inside of my invitations a few months ago:

Now it's time to make the programs for my wedding. He was nice enough to give me the .eps of the Mickey head outline you see there, but I can't figure out how to use it as a background. I tried inserting it as a file into Word, but it shows up as invisible.

Any ideas? Thanks so much!

.eps file are adobe file extensions. You can not edit these in a word program...in order to do so...you would fist need to covert that file to a jpeg.

Hmm. So I can't drop it into Word unless it's a jpeg? How do I go about doing that if my computer won't even let me open the file to save it as something else? I feel like I've dropped eps logos into Word documents before and they show up ok, but for some reason this one won't...

If you can't convert it, post the image for me - either on the board or pm it - and I'll try to convert it for you.

the file could have gotten corrupted...you could try forwarding the email to one of us to see if we can open it...not sure what else to suggest

Um, I'm really not as newbie as I'm coming across, but how do you attach files to a PM or board? I've never done one before. The only way I know how is to upload a photo to photobucket but that doesn't work in this case since my image is an eps.

you are correct...you would have to upload it first. the only option would be to forward the email to one of our regular email addresses..not to a PM or board
