Do we need to plan 2 Epic days? Thinking of getting a two day pass (1 day to hop between US/IOA and 1 day at Epic) and then a separate ticket for a second day at Epic.
Travel is in August 2025.
Thanks.

I’m going at the end of August and going doing 2 epic days. I also plan on getting the express pass. I figured I want to be able to do everything (and probably more than once) since it will be my first time going and don’t want to miss anything. Having multiple days also means I can go at a more relaxed pace.

I too am doing two days and have express in August. From what I have seen on some videos, two days is best to see everything. Kind of depends, though, on express/no express and what all you want to do. I'm going again in September on an "adult" trip and plan on only doing one day (with express). I have a feeling I'll just stay in Darkmoor and Harry Potter that day though.

We are going in October and we're going to do one day with express passes... and just hope that we can stuff as much as possible into that one day.

We are doing 2 days later this month, a Monday and Wednesday, as to have a down day in between. No express. Hoping to knock out most everything the first day so the second day we can spend exploring the park.

I went in May and having 2 days was perfect. I did not feel rushed and had plenty of time to sample some of the restaurants.

I did stay at the Helios Grand and that helped a lot with being able to take a break from the heat then head back to the park later.

We are considering going in December and we are planning two days. That way we are not pushing ourselves

After our experience, changing my answer to 2 days minimum. There’s still lots of technical difficulties abundant with attractions and shows. Then factor in weather delays, it’s truly a double whammy. However, we just had to pivot. Enjoyed the scenery, details, & ambience.

Enjoyed the food at Mead Hall & Cafe L’air De Sirene. Would have liked to experience other food options too.

What was your experience with wait times? I expect them to be high, but what would you say the average was?

I'm torn. but I am going to buy only one ticket in advance. If we enjoy it so much we might decide to go again, but I hope we won't feel the need. I guess we'll either have a great day and do most of what we want to do, or we'll have a miserable day and not be able to do much and then we won't want to go again. I visit Orlando every couple of years, in 2027 I'll probably be able to stay for multiple days, so no need to overspend right now.

I'd say plan for two days. Between technical issues and weather issues you will probably need it. You can always buy a 1 day ticket and then another day if you decide you need it.

I did 4 days during preview and really did not get to do everything because of technical issues and overselling the preview.
That's a bit different than now obviously.

There are also a lot of food item you may want to try - or you may want to leave yourself some time to just enjoy the park.
One day, regardless of the park, always puts you under pressure and does not really give you time to just explore.

We had express passes. Longest we waited was 40 minutes. Shortest we waited was 15 minutes.

Technical difficulties. Ministry was down almost the entirety of the day. Wait times were 3+ hours with ongoing technical delays. So much technical delays they threw in the towel and ended up closing for the rest of the day. Those that were stuck for 3+ hours received 1 ride express pass.

Hiccup’s Wing Gliders were down at the beginning of the day. The Untrainable Dragon show was down until the afternoon. Went to the afternoon show. It had a delay start. Then they had to stop it mid-show and immediately evacuated us all. We tried twice. We didn’t try a third time.

Then late afternoon weather delays plus more technical delays with other attractions.

We picked 5 must do attractions and did 6 plus Circus show and 1/2 Dragon show. The food really did shined. Best theme park food we’ve ever had. The park’s details were beautiful.

Despite us having to pivot, it was a fun experience. We did overhear lots of others; they weren’t so happy with all the technical delays and longer than expected wait times. Definitely a bummer, it’s not purposefully done.

How long ago was your trip?

Two days would be great!

We went for 1 preview day (no EP) and 2.5 days (2-day EP) during the grand opening weekend. Unfortunately we encountered a lot of technical and weather issues back then. Donkey Kong, Mario, Ministry, Hiccups, and the two shows were frequently closed or delayed. Monsters Unchained was surprisingly the most reliable one. All the outdoor rides, including the carousel, closed at the first hint of a thunderstorm.

Despite all that, we were still able to see all the attractions except for the Dragon show, and dine at both TS restaurants and most QS. The park is very beautiful and I honestly wouldn’t mind going back just to eat and shop.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping by the time we go in October, some of the issues that seem to be plaguing things now have been worked out a bit. Fingers crossed!
