Hi All,

I have a question for all of you. Are Epi pens allowed in the parks, or will I have trouble bringing mine in? I have a serious tree nut allergy and I have to have them. Last year when we went I didn't have them yet, but this year I do and I want to bring them with me just in case.

TIA :)
Karen

We had no problems bringing in our son's epipen. We carried it in the box, with the prescription taped on by the pharmacy. I just kept it in my backpack purse, showed it at the gate, no problem. This was in October.

You should have no problems bringing it in. As a medical necessity I don't know if they can forbid it anyway. While I don't carry an Epi-pen I do carry insulin syringes and never have a problem.

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback! :)

We had no problems taking in DD's epi pen last year. Just told the security guard up front.

No one has ever questioned or pointed out my epi pen. I always make sure that the pharmacy puts the sticker on the tube and not the box. I am paranoid that the TSA is going to confiscate it.

I usually have an epipen in my purse for my allergies and I don't even remember it most of the time. It has been through the TSA screening and Disney. I don't even tell the Disney Security people. Really, they are looking for guns and knives, not needles.

Thanks guys! I was worried - and now I'm not! Thanks again!

We have never had any issues taking epi-pens for our kids in the parks. You will find Disney is very allergy friendly compared to most parks.

anyone use an epi pen, there was a recent report of the needles breaking off/bending/jamming, or the wrong dose amount being released...
