Is this still something that they are doing at Epcot? Or did they only do if for the millenium? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but the only sites I can find about it are older, and they don't say whether or not it is still an active attraction (if it could even be called that). :confused3

Yes they're still doing it...and I still think its pointless, but thats just me

I am pretty sure you can still do this. I believe you can go to guest services and do it their.

After you walk into Epcot and go past the stones, the picture taking area is on the right. They were still there last week when we walked by it.

Well, we didn't think it was pointless and the kids love going back to find their picture each year.

I just wanted to weigh in on this since ChrisFL's opinion is that Leave a Legacy is pointless. Obviously, the OP doesn't think so or he/she would not have asked about it. Seems like the people who don't like it are the ones who don't have a picture there. :rotfl: These guys didn't think it was pointless.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the quick replies.
And actually, I don't mind the negative comments, after all, isn't that what these boards are all about - information and opinion.
To be honest I'm not sure if this is something I want to do or not, now that I know it is still available, and hearing what different people think does help a little in making a decision (not that I always listen to what people say, for example I still will be going on both Stitches ride and Sounds Dangerous even though so many people say it isn't worth it).
In fact, your differences on opinion about Leave a Legacy gets me thinking that a poll question might be interesting.

We, or actually I had one already a few months back. It just seems like another way for Disney to get money off of people, and what do you get back? A thumbnail size black and white low-resolution picture of yourself among tens of thousands of other ones. I just dont get it.

Not to mention it all looks like a war memorial or something.

DH and I did it back in 2000, the morning we got engaged. I like looking for it each time we go.

Of course it is a way to make money off of people.....as is most everything else in life. Each person chooses where they want to spend their $$. This is just another souvenier. Different strokes for different folks.

Ok, you HAVE to tell me where to find it!!!! DH is going to laugh at me, but that's awesome!! :cool1:

We did it in August and I thought it was $25 for the two of us. I think it is really cool and I can't wait to go see our pictures . I just wish I could still buy a brick at the MK.

Don't feel bad, I couldn't figure out who they were from those pictures either. :)

As far as the leave a legacy thing goes. I was all set to do it...and REALLY excited about it. From looking at the pictures shared on this board, I was really expecting something different. Like, bigger. I guess people take the picture and enlarge them or something...or maybe the zoom feature does it. But when we stepped into Epcot and saw the walls, I said to DH..."this is it, this is what I want to do!!!!" and I went right up to them and just stood there and stared. The pictures were sooooo small. Dh sensed my disappointment and said "not what you expected huh?". So I said, "I just don't think I can justify spending $45 for something so small". I mean you literally have to put your face right in front of the picture to see it, they are so small...and I have 20/20 vision. :sunny: I opted not to do it, but that is only one person's opinion.

So...to answer your original question...yes, they are still doing it. I don't remember exactly how much it was but I seem to remember the $45 as the figure. There is PLENTY of space still left on the walls so it seems like they will do it for a while. If I were you...I would allocate some money for it, and have it ready. They only allow two people in the picture (a max of two) so if you have more than two you would have to allocate more than $45. Then, when you get to Epcot take a look at the walls. I thought it was going to be in a difficult place to find but it is right in the front...as soon as you walk into the park you will see them. Take a look at the walls and see if it is something you are interested in doing, if you are then take the money to the booth which I think is to the right.

I personally would rather do something like they have at the Magic Kindgom with the blocks that people wrote on in 1993 and 1994 that they placed along the walkway. I was in florida in 1993 but we must have missed it. I think we only went to Epcot that year and skipped the MK.

I'm not sure of the exact address. I can tell you that it's located on "F" under the monorail track. There are a lot of "F" walls, but this one sits right under the monorail track - one of the murals in front. When facing the mural, it's toward the right hand side. I'm 5'4 and it was just slightly above my eye level. I should have written down the exact location, but to be honest with you, I don't understand their system well enough. In fact, even with the address to our own tile we couldn't find it and had to ask for help. :rotfl:

I found N'Sync's tile completely by accident in 2002. I love looking at pictures of people, strangers included. :confused3 Which is what I was doing the day I found N'Sync. DH seems to think it was no accident ... that only a true fan would observe something so small. :rolleyes1 He captured the moment on home video, which is the only reason I have a roundabout idea of where to find it. When we were there last month I searched for it based on the clues above. It took a while (about 15 mins.) but I found it! If you like (or liked) N'Sync I bet you will too. :goodvibes

We did this last time because it was a free gift from AAA for booking with them. How do you find your pic? They said we would receive a confirmation in the mail but we never did :confused3

My daughter has a brick at the Olympic Park in Atlanta & I know they have a machine that you enter your name & other info & it tells you the location. I really hope they have something like this - anyone have any info??? :surfweb:

WOW - I just noticed - WE ARE IN SINGLE DIGITS :yay:  :Pinkbounc
& I HAVEN'T PACKED YET - :scared1: :faint:

that's is exactly what I think everytime I see it... looks like the vietnam memorial or something.. little creepy for me but I guess it's kind of cool to have a piece of yourself at WDW... I think the bricks at MK were a much better idea though (and I'm glad my buddies in high school forced me to buy one :thumbsup2 )
