I was just wondering if you have to pay for the food samples that they are giving out?? If so what are the prices and what kinds of foods have you sampled that you really like?? We have never been but we will be there at the same time this year and we might check it out.
Convince me or talk me out of it!!

Thanks-

Yes, you do have to pay and it seemed like a lot considering the small portion size. Someone else can fill you in on specific menu items.

If you go to allearsnet.com, they have a listing of all the selections, prices and reviews. The F & W is FANTASTIC!

It is worth it. You can nibble your way around the world. The wines are delicious too!!!

$1 to $3 (maybe more for a few things) The F & W Fesitval is one of my Disney favs.

They do have free wine tastings, beer tastings and cooking demos. You really have to plan.

My question: Is there a list of all the items available to test when you enter Epcot? This is our first year going, and I know we will only have 2 nights and one day to take care of the entire thing. Is there the same items available the entire time? I really want to be able to try as much as possible. I am such a "picky" eater, and the smaller portions allows me to try new things I might not otherwise pay $15 for in a resturant. DH thinks I am so excited about MNSSHP, but I am also UBER excited about the F&W Festival! Plus, I don't think DH has any idea about it and I KNOW he will love it! A nice surprise for him!

Yes! There is a program that you get at the entrance gates during the festival that lists where all the kiosks are and what is being served at each. The first day I'm there (usually, I do this at my hotel because I always get in at like 10PM) I grab the program and cross out all the things I can't eat (allergies, dietary restrictions). I then circle all the things I absolutely *must* try, and then I check all the events that are happening during the time I'll be there. After figuring out where I need to be when, I now have a plan to make the 2.2 miles of the festival a lot less daunting.

Oh, and it's a good idea to stagger your kiosk purchases, ie: get food at one and alcohol at the next. Don't get both at the same time, alternate on your next walk around. It's very hard to walk and eat when you've got a plate in one hand and a drink in the other, and you can get drunk VERY quickly if you get something alcoholic at EVERY kiosk.

Well, in Chicago they do a "Taste of Chicago" Festival, that is very popular - so it depends on your background, and your expectations I imagine - - I sent my mom to last years menu site...

I'm looking forward to tasting great champagne, ice wines, etc... for $4 -5 for 4 - 5 ounces it could seem very expensive, but for me, its an experience, and I know how much the whole bottle is, so I will never be able to afford a whole bottle, and I appreciate being able to taste it!! Just my honest opinion - for what its worth! jmho fwiw!!

Thank you both for your replies and ideas! heathriel, you sound just like me! That's exactly what I wanted to plan on doing! And I will definitely remember to alternate between alcohol and food. I love champane/sparkling wines, but they get me so tipsy very fast! :drinking1

I know more will be posted on this as the summer draws closer, and then October will be right around the corner....thanks for giving me enough to satisfy my thirst for information!
