HAve I read it or made it up, that children can pick uppassports and then get them stamped in World ShowCase? Just looking at exciting things to do next year. I really should be organised Disney Paris though.

Yes you can but you have to buy them. I know they are available at the shoppes you come to right at the entrance to World Showcase. We did this last time and it was fun. They get stamped and the CM writes a note or the childs name in the own language.

How about older children? Like my soon to be bride? She goes crazy for things like that. We got her one of those national parks book from Yellowstone that has spots for stamps and such. Now every park we go to I have to look for the stamping place for her.

I have a question about this also....Is there a special CM that will stamp it or will any CM in that country do it? Do I head for a shop or a restaurant? Thanks! It sounds like great fun for the kids! :sunny:

You can buy the passport for $9.95
and then you find the kidcot spot in each country
where the CM will stamp and sign your passport.

It is for kids of all ages.

I did it this summer and loved it and I was not
the only adult working on their passport!

We just got back and my husband did this. At first he didn't want to, but I told him he might as well. It will be fun and he's never going to see any of these people again. Well he reluctantly did it, but by the end of the first country he was on a mission to scout out the spots. Seriously! I was trailing in his dust trying to keep up. Most of the Kidcot spots were in shops or just outside them. The Canadian spot is just after the exit to the O Canada movie. It really is fun to see the different types of writing that each CM puts into the book. It also helps to stay organized while visiting countries. It helped us remember which ones we had already seen since we went to Epcot over two days.

We did this on my first trip to WDW. It was me, my niece and nephew and their now step-mother getting the passports stamped. I still have mine. It was fun!

We went into the shops in each country and had them stamped there.

My DD turns 9 during our trip, so she is getting one that the CM's will write Happy Birthday in their native language. She has done the mask twice now, and decided she would rather do the passport this time. She did the passport when she was 4 but I don't think she got much out of it then. This year she's really looking forward to it.
You can buy one from the little cart outside the entrance to Epcot. I believe it was $13.00 and comes with stickers for each country and an Epcot pin(button) with all the different flags on it. Really cute, and it gives kids something to do while you're waiting in restaurants. There are about 6 stickers for every country that they can put in it while they wait for their meal. :thumbsup2 Have fun!!

We might do this next week. My kids have enjoyed making the masks (I understand they're not doing that any more??) in the past and getting the stamps on the back of that. I have a feeling they won't be bothering with autograph books this time - but they could suprise me.

Anyone can do this...not just kids.

We did it on a trip in 2001 (Feb) and the youngest in our group was then 19 (with about three in their mid twenties and three more in their mid thirties).

You don't have to go to any specific cast member to have it signed, though only certain ones may have the ink stamp...you can ask when you arrive in any "country".

They will usually chat with you briefly and write a personalized message too! It's fun to see your name written in the foreign languages/script.

We did it as we drank around the world (the 19 yr old had candy in every world instead...). I highly recommend it when taking a full day in WS.

We did this on our last trip and it was a lot of fun. I felt like it was a fun mission trying to help my sister get every stamp. They all wrote a nice little note in their language and some even wrote her name in their language. They are still doing masks as well, but we didn't do the masks this time. At the end when we got the last country to stamp they gave us a poster for completing the whole passport.

My daughter does this everytime we go and then she has taken it to school and used it when doing reports on different countries. It's really neat to have something written by them and being able to translate it.
