If you had to pick between the two parks, where would you choose to spend a whole day? We'll have young kiddos; 7, 6, 3 & 2. Thanks in advance!! :)

Epcot, no question about it. It's my daughter's, my wife's and my favorite park because there is so much to do and see that the whole family can enjoy, plus it feels less crowded than the other parks due to its layout and landscaping.

The Studios still feel like an incomplete park to me because it is very deficient in dark rides and too heavy on shows. Also, it's headlining attractions, the Tower of Terror and Rock n' Roller Coaster aren't very inviting to young kids, whereas Epcot's counterparts, Soarin' and Test Track, are much more accessible. The food at Epcot is also much better!

Although I do not agree with wdwguide on his choice of football teams (I am a huge Seminoles fan!!), I do agree with his choice on parks. I love EPCOT. When you go to there, there is so much to do and things that you can learn. I could literally stay there for 2 of my days while I am on my vacation.

I vote for Epcot by far. We spent a whole day at Epcot last year and only saw about half of it. It is great-although we love MGM too :goodvibes

I would say Epcot, based on the ages of your kids. I think there's more to do.

I'm am also a huge Seminole fan (see Info. to the left), and I also would recommend Epcot over the Studios (if I had to choose one of the two parks), for a family with children; hands down. When you look at the two parks in detail you see that the Studios actually only has two "rides" that can be enjoyed by the whole family (Back Lot Tour and Great Movie Ride), the other three rides (Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roll Coaster and Star Tours are not suitable for the youngest ones). What I mean to say is that there are only five rides in the Disney-MGM Studios, as the park is more noted for shows.

Enjoy.

I agree. I love TOT and RNRC, but your kids are young. My kids were 6 and 9 when we went and Epcot was their Fav. park all around! Make sure you do the KidCot stops in each Country!

Interesting responses, I asked the same question awhile back , my kis are 8,7 and 4 and everyone responded to go to MGM and skip Epcot, now I am very confused :confused3

Well Im a Gator fan (NCAA Basketball National Champions!) and I also pick Epcot

I also remember this question being posted awhile back and mostly everyone saying MGM, so in May with a 5 and 7 year old I decided MGM over Epcot. Now after seeing some photos from the flower and garden show at Epcot, I'm wondering if I should reconsider.

I really wasn't thinking MGM for rides, mainly for the characters we'd see that are exclusive to MGM; JoJo, Chicken Little, Incredibles.

Guess we're way in the minority here but our family would take MGM anyday over EPCOT.

If you asked me before I went on my recent trip I would have answered MGM.. After returning my response is now Epcot.. I forgot just how much there is to do at Epcot and how much fun it can be.. I truly thought my children would hate Epcot.. My DD14 and DS12 havent been back to WDW since 2000 and my other DD8 went with my last year and we only had a few hours to spend at Epcot so we mainly walked around.. but after this last trip we had a blast there..

For our family, its a split decision....

Wife and I...No question Epcot

11 year old daughter and 16 year old son...MGM

We enjoy the World Showcase and the kids enjoy the scary rides..

Giving the age of your children I would vote Epcot. This has always been my favorite park even when I was 9.

i say mgm but i am not an epcot person, i just started a thread on epcot because i just cannot get into that particular park, from the responses i got, it seems many feel it is geared more toward adults but i know they do have some things for the children to do.
