That's the best way to get there.

They're not too far away from each other. If you think of all the countries as a horseshoe (with the open end of the horseshoe next to Future World), Mexico is the first country you'd come to on the left, and Canada is the first country you'd come to on the right. It's a pretty easy walk.

Its in walking distance so I dont think they have any sort of boat transportation they just have people walk.

There are the Friendship Taxis which are boats that go across the World Showcase Lagoon - but I'm not sure which way they travel - there are four docks and I don't know whether they go across the Lagoon or just up and down. If you just want to go from Mexico directly to Canada it's not a long walk at all.
