Hey y'all. We are heading to Epcot tomorrow for the day. Any advice? I have a fastpass for Soarin. Park opens at 9am. We plan to get there earlier than that so we can head to Frozen Ever After. Any ideas on what time rope drop is? Cast members at AK on Friday told me its a little different because of the holiday. We have never been to Epcot. I have 3 kids. Any advice is welcome and helpful. Im nervous with it being the last day of the Thanksgiving week. Hopefully it wont be too crowded. AK was packed on Friday but we still had fun. Thanks!

Be sure and try different food items from the different countries.

I've never done RD, so I don't know the procedures.

Also, have an awesome time!!!!

If you’re staying through Illuminations, the holiday tag they add at the end this time of year is fantastic, in my humble opinion.

As for rope drop, it’s been awhile since we’ve RDd Epcot so my knowledge of the exact procedures is a little rusty... but I’d arrive 8:15-8:30ish. They’ll let you in the park at some point and hold you further in until the rope drop time. Many other folks have your same plan (going to FEA first thing), so just stay the course and truck on!

Don’t rush through World Showcase... take your time and enjoy it. Maybe get a Passport and have your kids get stamps at each country. If they’re into it, do the Duffy Bear drawing in each country (unless there’s a holiday coloring activity in its place right now, if so, do that).

We did the “pick a pearl” thing in the store in Japan back in October. Had walked by it for years and never really paid attention to it, so glad we tried it (it does cost money).

Not sure if you’re into things like pressed pennies, but they can keep kids very occupied around World Showcase.

Hope you have fun!

We've been here since 9:30 this morning, waiting for Illuminations now.

Park was very crowded. This was a last minute trip so no Fastpasses.

Started with Soaring posted stand by was 45 minutes which was accurate. Then went to test track. Did single rider
Wait was posted at 45 minutes. Got in in 30.

Went to mission to space. Green wait was 10 minutes. Orange was 50. It was accurate.

Walked on to the 3 cabelleros ride. FEA was posted as a 80 minute stand by. Got in in 45.

Took the time to see the added Xmas shows. Enjoyed all. Got in to candle light procession after we arrived only 15 minutes early, but lots of people behind us did not. People started lining up 1 1/2 hours early.

A very good day with dh and dd16. It was chilly when we arrived and got cold again when sun went down- be prepared for that. I wore jeans, short sleeved t and a fleece jacket. Worked well for me. Dd came in shorts. We had to buy her a jacket tonight.

Hope this helps.

Show is starting!

This is the start of a much lower crowd week, so you should see a difference. We come this week every other year, this is the other so we aren't there now! Some tips: If opening is 9am, be at gates at least by 8:30. They will start letting you in early, but will hold you at different points depending on what part of the park you're heading. After Frozen, I would either head back to Test Track or start with Nemo. Do Nemo, Turtle Talk, Living with the Land, etc...work around that way. Then start with Mexico and tour around the countries. What time is your fp for Soarin? What other fps do you have? Do Spaceship Earth as you are leaving later as it will have a 5 minute wait later in the day.

Awesome tips. Thanks so much! We have our FP for soarin at 2:35. No other fast passes because I wasn’t sure what to grab.
