Epcot to Shula's - Best way to get there?

We are planning to spend the day at Epcot, then have to meet family members at Shula's Steak House (in the Dolphin) for dinner. What's the fastest/easiest way to get over there? Someone mentioned there is a boat that goes from Epcot to the Dolphin - where would we pick that up? Do we have to be staying at the Dolphin to use it? Is it faster/possible to walk from the exit at the World Showcase around the Boardwalk over to the Dolphin?
Thanks!

You go out the International Gateway which is between UK and France. The boats run about every 20 minutes, and the Swolphin is the 3rd stop for the boats. So if you just miss a boat it may be faster to just walk.

Personally I would just walk from the International Gateway in Epcot to the Dolphin. It will be about a 10 -15 minute walk. It is a very pretty walk and you will get to see the Boardwalk, YC.BC area. Anyone can use the boat to the Dolphin, but it is rather slow.
Have a great trip.

Agree with previous posters. Walking will be faster than the boat, unless the boat is right there and ready to go when you exit. For the walk to the Dolphin, it will be slightly quicker to walk around the lagoon on the YC/BC side than the BW side (if going to the Swan, it would be quicker to go on the BW side).

Walk would be 12-14 minutes (at least it was when I timed it last year).

The boat, once it left, would take 12 minutes travel time, plus the load/unload times, plus the wait time for the boat at IG to start off.

Agreeing with PP, staying to the right and walk alongside the YC/BC would be quicker.

We stayed at the Swan/Dolphin several times, and I never noticed a huge time difference between the Boardwalk path and the YC/BC path..just different scenery. Its probably a little longer to go BW, but also fun to watch the street performers. I suggest walking YC/BC on the way there to get there slightly faster and then taking the BW on the way back to see the street performers (and possibly Illuminations fireworks depending on the time.) Enjoy Shulas! We loved their food!!

We stayed at the Dolphin and found it quicker to walk from the International Gateway instead of taking the boats. Its an enjoyable walk through the Boardwalk when the weather is good.

I would walk from the International Gateway. If you walk via the Boardwalk you'll come out by the Swan and just walk across to the Dolphin. If you pass the Beach and Yacht clubs you'll need to take a sort of convoluted path alongside the Dolphin resort to its rear entrance.

You could take the boat if you want. There would be two other stops between Epcot and the Swan/Dolphin. I'm guessing the boat ride would take about 20 minutes, not including any time that might be necessary to allow the boat to arrive at Epcot. I am not sure when you are traveling but I'd advise that in high summer, the boats have completely inadequate air conditioning.

We like to walk through the BC and YC and back out to the Boardwalk to the Dolphin.

if you had a long day, and you are tired, take the boat.

While it is not a long walk, be nice to take a few minutes, relax and rest during the ride. Obviously I am the slacker in the group ;) :rotfl:

Fastest way is to grab the boat from EPCOT at International Gateway (if it is there when you get there, or a short wait), then get off at Boardwalk and walk to Dolphin.

You can stay on the boat all the way to Dophin if you want, but you have to stop at Yacht club first, then Dolphin, so you are at mercy of captain and how long he waits at each stop.
