You should know better than anyone with the way Disney has done things the last 5-10 Epcot Center wasn't going to make any sort of comeback. Its all about IP now.I'd rather it be dozed then

What is IP?
The catalyst for all disney orders to sweatshops in china
IP = its like the brand protection ?You should know better than anyone with the way Disney has done things the last 5-10 Epcot Center wasn't going to make any sort of comeback. Its all about IP now.
Intellectual property...
Elsa, buzz lightyear and darth vader
Yes intellectual property, Star Wars, Toy Story, Frozen etc. are all IP.
The rumors say not every change will involve an IP though. The inventions work is supposed to include an "expo" that is IP free.Hey...i never said I didn't expect them to make a completely wrong decision...like they apparently have with Disney springs...
...but because they make it in no way legitimizes it.
The next DVC in Innoventions East and West since the can't figure out what to do with them.
I think Future World should be changed to Discoveryland. That way, the land can be about discovering new things and ideas rather than being an outdated vision of the future.
Excellent point and great idea! When EPCOT was created, "the future" was a sort of magical, awe-inspiring concept still. We live so much of it now, constantly evolving, with nothing really "surprising" but rather expected, Future World doesn't really make sense as a name. A name based around discovery would be perfect!I think Future World should be changed to Discoveryland. There were plans under Eisner for a major future world revamp in which it would be called discoveryland. That never happened of course. There are current rumors that tomorrowland will be changed to discoveryland.Excellent point and great idea! When EPCOT was created, "the future" was a sort of magical, awe-inspiring concept still. IP can work only IF they use it to tell new stories based in SCIENCE...
The thing we all need to understand but nobody seems to be interested in anymore...and it was the defining story of the 20th century and is more important now than ever.
The problem with the nemo is that it does the standard retelling of movies using a dark ride...it needed to be "infotainment" to maintain any of the soul of EPCOT.
They need to do it correctly...
It doesn't need to be infotainment to maintain the soul. I like the Nemo ride, it gets people into the pavillion, and then they can be "info-tized" by the displays. Nemo gets them in the door.
SSE gets people into what I think is an underated post show area. There's some cool stuff (games) there. I had fun with my kids playing them, much like my parents did when we went as kids.
