Hi everyone! We will be staying that the POR next week and DH would like to walk over to the Boardwalk...question is can we walk thru Epcot (the back way) and walk to the Boardwalk and then get back in thru Epcot? We have the annual passes so we should be able to get right back in right?

You can exit Epcot at the International Gateway between the UK pavillion and the France pavillion. The walk should take 10 minutes to get to the BW area. You can also take a boat. You will have no problem getting back in to Epcot through the International Gateway. There are turnstyles there.

Have fun!!

The International Gateway entrance/exit at Epcot has the same hours as the main entrance. I agree with the previous poster that you can walk to the Boardwalk in about ten minutes. The boat is a nice ride but it is slow. You can continue to walk all the way to the Disney Studios if you want. The boat also goes on to the Studios with stops at the Epcot resorts.

We did just that a couple of weeks ago. To take 10 mins you'd need to walk really slowly. We took about 5mins.

Since you're going out the back door, why don't you also take a look at Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts. If you don't mind walking you can take one big walk around and see it all. Just a thought.

We also will be staying at POR next week. We leave on Thursday. Have a great time!! :bounce:

Just a note for you....don't make the same mistake we did the first time we made this walk. When you walk along the canal way, you will go up a hill, with a bridge on the left. Take that left!! It leads to BW. We didn't know that the first time and just kept walking straight...past BC, YC, over the bridge to Swan/Dolphin and finally to BW. Talk about taking the long way around!!!

We do that every time we go, DH love ESPN club.

Also as a suggesiton, if you want to go over at night, pick a night that they have the Extra Magic Hours at EPCOT - the park will be open real late (11 pm?) and you can go over to BW and see the goings ons. Then you can go back through Epcot and take the bus home.

I know they have a couple of "acts". DH was chosen from the crowd to participate in one. :rotfl:

Thanks and you have a great time too! We are staying at the Beach Club in December so I am taking your advice and checking it out ahead of time!

Thanks you saved me some aggravation

We did this many times. Just remember that you have to walk from the entrance to EPCOT front to the International Gateway and then to the BW. I think the walk in total from the front is a good ten minutes if not fifteen.

Oh one more thing I just thought of.

We walked to the Boardwalk, but took the boat back. The boat back to Epcot is the first stop (actually the last stop).. the boat to the Boardwalk, the boardwalk is the last stop.

So the boat goes:
Epcot, Beach and Yacht, Swan/Dolphin then Boardwalk then back to Epcot.

But ask first if taking the boat, since Disney always likes to change things.

We like to walk to the Boardwalk toward the end of the night and enjoy the night life. ESPN gets hopping, and there is good beer at the brewery (I'm having a brain fart on the name) and great snacks at the bakery. You can hop the DTD bus from the Boardwalk and stroll there before you get your bus back to the POR from DTD. Just an idea!
Have a great time!

Well, as of earlier this week, the boat route was:
Epcot
Boardwalk
YC/BC
Swan/Dolphin
MGM
Swan/Dolphin
YC/BC
Boardwalk
Epcot
