Epcot tiering to change

I would expect The Seas with Nemo to become the next, "I couldn't believe how long the line was" attraction.

Probably as expected, no surprise. I don't see it affecting our choices.

At least this summer will be very interesting to see how it plays out when the new stuff and new Soarin' come in to play.

We booked mid-Jan FP+ for our land/sea trip and sure enough, M:S was Tier 1.

LWTL has been Tier 1 for awhile (unfortuntately).
The Tier 2s are pretty funny. "Why yes, give me that Figment FP+, because it's such a high demand attraction."

I bet its really busy this summer

LOL. Living with the land tier 1?

Granted, we only go during non-peak seasons (late April-early May), but I have never seen living with the land, figment, or nemo to be anything but a walk-on. Spaceship earth is typically a 5-10 minute wait, if not simply a walk-on, as is mission space green.

So, because they have MS Orange and Green separated, will you have to decide in advance which you want? I never know which I want until I'm getting my "ticket" at the ride's tapstyle.

I think the reason Living with the Land is Tier 1 and Spaceship Earth isn't has to do with capacity. SSE eats people at an astounding rate, so, even if it is a "more substantial" ride, it doesn't require Tier 1 rationing. Honestly, I think Living with the Land is pretty great though.

It's already there. Pre FP+ we were used to walking on Nemo. At the times of the year we went, we had never waited more than 10 minutes for it and that was rare. Now when we go with FP+ if we don't hit it within the first 15 or 20 minutes after rope drop, the line is usually 20 to 30 minutes.

You say that, but pre FP+ we walked on Figment pretty much all the time. Now in the afternoons or even later morning, that line has been a minimum of 20 minutes long, often 30 minutes, and we have even seen it at 35 minutes. We actually went and pulled a 4th FP for it (which kicked in 30 minutes later) just so we would not have to stand in the 30 minute line. This October, we actually booked a FP+ out of our 3 for it and were glad we did as the line was 25 minutes when we went to ride it late morning before lunch. This was not a crowded park time either!

Ugh- I hate the new Tier 1s. Usually you only need a FP+ for Mission Space Orange. We have noted most of the FP+ users go to that side and we have waited 10 minutes or less for the green. I actually have not been pleased when we used a FP+ for it a couple of times because we did not need it and I was unable to change it for something we do need. I would about bet separating Orange and Green out and making them both tier one (along with Soarin being down) is going to make the standby line for green longer than the typical 10 minutes or less.

I guarantee you I wouldn't wait 5 minutes for Figment, much less 30. In fact, I'd probably have to have Disney give me time to ride Figment--like a FP+ for something actually worthwhile.

What's next--a wait time for Ellen, or Circle of Life? That's when we'll know this madness has reached its peak.

We have a half day planned for Epcot when we go in January. We'll be there right before Soarin' goes down. If it weren't for that ride, I might just skip it all together. The FP selections are ridiculous. It's actually comical that they have LwtL listed as a Tier 1 attraction. Yes, I enjoy the ride, but it certainly isn't a Tier 1 ride.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: My DD (9) loves Figment and has since she was 2- it is a must do for her every Epcot day. I have to say I have a little bit of a soft spot for that purple dragon. Couldn't even begin to tell you if Ellen or Circle of Life have waits though- we haven't set foot in those since she was born!
