Epcot the week after Christmas

My brother has expressed some intrest in going to one of the parks when the family is down at Christmas. I convinced him that if we were only going to do one, we should do Epcot. Mostly because of the CP and the "Santas around the world". Then I remembered that it will actually be after Christmas when we would go since they don't arrive until Christmas Eve and I am NOT going on Christmas day. ;) I know that the CP runs until the end of the month, but will everything else be the same as it was just before Christmas?

Thanks for the help,
Cindy

Ack! Can some one help?

Perhaps my original post was too wordy. All I need to know is if the "Santas" that are all around EPCOT will still be out giving their presentations the week after Christmas.

Thanks,
Cindy

will there be any decorations up the 1st week of Jan 04?

The various storytellers and Santa usually do not appear after Xmas day. They still have the CP show and the decorations will still be up but that is pretty much all that is left over from the holidays. You also need to take into consideration that the week between xmas and NY is THE busiest time at WDW. Often there will be several days during this time period when the parks fill to capacity. IF you are just considering EC then you should be ok, the lines and crowds will just be bigger then normal.

Thanks so much. That is exactly what I needed to know. I didn't even think about the crowds. Ugh. I'll have to put some thought into this.

Thanks again for the reply.

Exactly how long various decorations are up seems to vary a little, partly by how busy CMs are. I've gone the very first week in January 3 times. All I remember is that one year on 1/2 the decorations, including the big tree and arch, were still up in Epcot, but when I went back 2 days later, they were down. The next year, on 1/3, the arch was down and the tree still up in Epcot. Stayed that way til my last visit to Epcot on 1/5. Earliest I've been in Epcot is 1/2, never seen the Holiday Santas. Saw the musical group "Caste in Bronze" once-aren't they there this year? I hope so!
