I'm really undecided about what restaurant to book for lunch while we are at Epcot. We will be paying OOP, so price is a little bit of an issue, but I'm open to any suggestions!

I have San Angel reservations right now since we've never eaten there and the atmosphere seems nice, but we eat Mexican all the time at home.

We like Le Cellier, but I've read mixed review and we think we might want to try something new this time.

Thoughts??

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I love Morocco, buffet at Germany is a good value, LeCellier is quite pricey.

Especially paying OOP I second the suggestion of Biergarten. The buffet selection is nearly identical to dinnertime for a significantly lower price. The German band provides entertainment at scheduled times. Picky eaters seem to do very well here. And who doesn't love pretzel bread?

SAI would actually be a nice retreat in the middle of a hot day. If you don't want to go there, really like Les Chefs de France for lunch.

Thanks for the replies!

Biergarten sounds fun and we've never been there, but to be honest, the menu looks a little...um...too "interesting". Lots of beets, cabbage, and things with sausage. :scratchin I'm just not sure about all that, although people really seem to like it.

We always eat lunch at Coral Reef, once a year. Love the atmosphere, food (well my husband doesnt eat seafood, he gets the chicken, though he says the chocolate wave dessert is worth going for) and the fish tanks! We have always had great meals here every year.

We loved Biergarten! I have to admit that I do like beets, cabbage and sausage, but I really didn't think the food overall was anything exotic or weird. And there were plenty of things that were very typical foods in case you're worried. The selection was really varied and wide and the entertainment was priceless for entertaining our little one! She's super picky and we managed to shove in a few pieces of chicken while she was watching the oompapa band with mouth agape! :lmao:

My vote's for Morocco; we've eaten there several times. The surrounding pavilion is beautiful, the food is just a little 'interesting' ;) , and there's entertainment. I have no clue why it's not more popular, but it's fine by me!

San Angel is not your normal Mexican fare. Most of these are Tex Mex style, basically Americanized. San Angel is really good, great atmosphere. Food can be a little out there, but tasty. Biergarten honestly is safer IMO if you have picky eaters. Lots to choose from, go and get small amounts then go back for what trips your taste buds! Le Cellier is hit or miss these days, sad, because it used to be so on spot. Rose and Crown, Nine Dragons, Chefs De France are all good too.

We like the San Angel Inn, particularly the atmosphere. Biergarten is fun and we will be eating at Marakesh (sp?) when we return this summer. We think the atmosphere is better than the food at Coral Reef. Lunch is generically cheaper.

I loved the Prix Fixe 3-course lunch at Les Chefs. I had the onion soup (with baguette), sandwich/salad, and profiteroles. Via Napoli is very good, too; I had the margherita pizza and tiramisu. I would happily do both again.

I personally love Chefs de France for lunch! Restaurant Marakesh is great too but picky eaters may have difficulty finding something to their taste. I'm also a fan of Nine Dragons, and well, basically everywhere in WS. :lmao:
