EPCOT souveinir question

I'm wondering if anyone has the glass/plastic paperweight with pictures of people's faces etched into it? Where do you get it and approximately how much does it cost? Also, does it take a long time to make one?

I'm debating between this and a piece of pearl jewelry from Japan for my big expenditure.

I don't have one, but they do them in the Imagination Pavilion gift shop, which I think is sponsored by Kodak.

When I first saw them at Disney, IIRC, they wanted something like $125 for one. But as those machines have become more common, the price may have come down.

We saw them at MouseGears, but I'm not sure about prices....

We ordered the small square one with the picture in 3D.
It was about $40....plus a bit more for some words etched in (cant' remember the price). Our picture was done about mid day and it was to be ready that night.

They do them in many locations throughout WDW. We got ours done at a store in DTD (Something brothers?). They get more expensive the bigger and more fancy they are but ours was about $50 for a small cube with DD5 face in it. My mom gets one done of her each time we go to the Disney parks. It is really cool to see how she changes.

We got ours in the Imagination Pavilion gift shop. We got 2 of the small ones, with me, DH,and DS on them,and they were around $40 or so. I didn't want to get them, but DH insisted, and he was right. Thye turned out great! It took about 15 minutes or so to take the picture, pick out the crystal, and everything, and they were waiting for us at the hotel the next day.

We got one done of our granddaughter even though at the time I thought it was VERY expensive. I'm so glad we did it. She has changed so much over the past two years and seeing the old Kate in 3D is just so sweet.

Well worth the price if you ask me.
Pearls can be done any time but this is like a time capsule of how someone looks that day! I highly recommend having it done.

Thanks all for the information. I am hoping DTD has them, as I won't be staying onsite and can't have it delivered to a resort from EPCOT if it takes too long. Does anyone have a picture they are willing to post of what they look like? I want to show hubby and DS9.
