Epcot Shopping Questions

This will be our first trip into Epcot and I'm looking for some additional fun for the kiddos. It'll be Easter and they'll have some fresh gift cards in hand from the Easter Bunny. My youngest's favorite toys are plushes, so I figure we'll stop in der Teddybar, but I'm not interested in spending a fortune on a bear. Are there bears at all price ranges? Also Germany is where I'll find gummy candy right?

My next question is Pokemon in Japan. Do they still sell Pokemon cards? My oldest collects and the most recent post I could find was 2013.

Finally, I assume panda bears are well represented at the House of Good Fortune? Big panda fans around here!

Thanks in advance!

Tons of panda things! Plush, t-shirts, etc. I don't recall anything extremely expensive. There were also some Shanghai Disney plush when I was there last month.

Although they have the expensive Steiff plush in Germany, they also have more moderately priced items. It depends on your budget though, and the size of the plush. I bought a couple of the Steiff cow minis (about 5-6 inches tall) that were $36 each before my AP discount.

They have gummy candy in Germany, but they have gummy candy in other pavilions also. It seems to be a pretty popular type of candy and holds up well to the Florida heat!

I can't answer your Pokemon question though. They have been remodeling the Mitsukoshi store, so things are kind of in disarray to begin with, and that is not an item I normally shop for. They do have a lot of Pokemon plush and other products like that.

In the Germany pavilion, you will find stuffed bears at a variety of price points and, yes, they have gummy candy there.

They have a huge Pokemon collection in Japan from toy items to cards. When my DS was a Pokemon collector, the Japan pavilion would always be the first stop on our WDW trips!

Do you have the Shop Disney Parks app? Merchandise from the Epcot countries are now on there.

I rarely used the App. While we were there a few weeks ago, my son noticed a shirt on someone that he liked. I used the App to locate it. Now I’m a huge fan of the App!!!

Oh man, I had no idea... my son is HUGE into pokemon. Guess we'll be making a stop here!

I am a HUGE fan of gummy candy and I believe Japan carries a nice and unique selection as well! In fact, if I am recalling correctly, in the room of Mitsukoshi with tablewares etc, there is a pretty large wall/selection. Pokemon though I am unable to remember - I definitely saw a lot of plushes on my last trip (Oct 2016) but do not specifically remember cards.

I have definitely seen what I consider to be moderately priced bears in Germany as well.

If Mitsukoshi is as I remember (or similar) from my October 2016 trip...prepare thyself! It was a Pokemon and Hello Kitty explosion as soon as I walked in the front door! I did Disneyland in 2017 so it may have changed since but boy was there a selection!!

Hahahaha there is/was also a lot of Studio Ghibli stuff and Sailormoon! Although I bought most of the Sailormoon stuff LOL

Mitsukoshi is my absolute Epcot shopping downfall!! I tried to resist that whole section up front because I wanted to spend more on gummies/candy!! I want everything in Mitsukoshi and between my love of the store and love of gummy candy, it is a danger to my wallet!

Thankfully my son is mostly into the cards, not the toys. Sounds like this will be a win though.

If you have a little girl, the Pick-A-Pearl in the Japanese store is a lot of fun and creates a nice souvenir.

My kids will be pumped to know that! Japan is starred on our to do list for Epcot. Thanks!
