I want to book but see there's a 250lb weight limit. I'm about 230, but worry with clothes and stuff in my pockets and trainers on it might push for to about 250. Think I'll be alright?

I can't imagine that clothes, stuff in your pockets and shoes would equal 20 lbs. I think you'll be fine. :thumbsup2

Yes, you will be fine. I went with a friend who was pushing the 250 limit and she didn't have any problem at all.

You should be fine! I got this for dh for his bd in July and we had a blast!!!!!

not sure, thats what i want to know. Just worry that i'll be fine before i go, but after a week of good food and beer i'll go over by a few pounds!!

...well, one of the cm's who led our group said they really can't ask your weight and they aren't there with a scale...

I wear a uniform for work.....think a police officers uniform, minus the gun...and it only adds about 7 pounds to my total weight. That includes heavy steel toes boots. You'll be fine with just your normal clothes and shoes. Go and enjoy:banana:

part of the problem with being over the weight limit is the thing won't work properly if you're too heavy...which to me would be a bit embarrassing...holding up a tour because my Segway would not function due to my excessive weight. I wouldn't attempt it unless sure I really was under 250. But that's me.:rolleyes1

I do remember reading a story from some other tourist destination regarding attempts at riding Segways...the people were both over 250. She could get hers to go (was just a few pounds over 250), but his Segway wouldn't go anywhere. This was several years ago, and not sure of the details but IIRC, he claimed to be 250 but was really closer to 275 (according to the wife.) They were mad because the vendor wouldn't refund the money for the rental (the vendor's policy said no refunds for user failure...and lying about your weight was a "user failure" in the vendor's eyes.)

We did the Segway tour on Friday - probably the best Disney tour we've ever been on. Nobody asks you your weight. It seemed that they are more concerned with underweight folks as they are too light for the system to work properly.

My DFIL is 6'6 and probably at the 250 limit and had no issues.

My son, at 245, had no problems at all with CMs or the operation of the Segway. I've done 5 Segway tours and have seen people bigger than my son who were riding just fine.
