Are some Epcot restaurants just better for dinner instead of lunch?

We picked the following restaurants but prefer lunch at Epcot so we can have dinner at other places we like that are only open for dinner (signature restaurants and Ohana). Our lunch at Biergarten would be later, around 1pm because the shows don't start until after then.

Coral Reef
Le Cellier
San Angel Inn
Biergarten

I think Le Cellier and Biergartan are just as good for lunch, you won't miss anything but maybe some sauerbraten.

I'm a big lunch fan. My kids were so wiped out by dinner it just wasn't enjoyable, plus we really did a nice break during the day to just sit down and rest and lunch is the time to do it. The lines are usually getting pretty long. I think you get the same choices on most menus to as far as I could tell.

We've done Biergarten for lunch and thought it was great! I didnt notice any difference in the food from dinner, but quite a bit cheaper and less crowded at lunch.

We have enjoyed Coral Reef and Le Cellier for Lunch and have found that it is just as good as dinner

San Angel Inn is fantastic for lunch!! I like the lunch menu better than the dinner menu. Le Cellier is very good for lunch too....and a lot easier to get into at that time!

Check out the menu's and see the offerings. Usually they are just smaller portions at a lower price. I prefer a late lunch, you kill two birds with one stone (lunch and dinner) and it's a huge savings. Lunch is less expensive and you have a chance to walk off your meal.

Those are all good for lunch, although consistency at San Angel and Coral Reef is not as good as the other restaurants.

My favorite lunch TS destination in Epcot is Chefs de France. You will likely be surprised to find that lunch there is a shade less expensive than Le Cellier with more options. A true beef lover will be happily floored by the braised short ribs (unless they are really just jonesing for a steak). I think about these more than any other food I've had at Disney. The servers are also great with kids!

Don't rule out Sunshine Seasons (CS in The Land next to Living With The Land). There's something for everybody there -- including the Uncrustable for the kid or adult that eats nothing interesting. I like the asian noodles.

Biergarten is a lot of fun for lunch when the shows are running. Depending on your party size you may share a table with others which usually adds to the fun but might not work quite as well for dinner. Also, the food can be filling and a mug of German brew is a must - good opp to walk it off later afternoon, then have a lighter dinner. Thats been my experience, but then again I've only done the lunch.

I prefer to eat my large meal at noon(ish), so I pretty much always dine TS for lunch and CS for dinner. Most of the time, the prices are a little less at lunch time, and the portions are more manageable. I've never felt like I missed out by dining earlier in the day.

When we were there during early Dec, we picked Epcot restaurant lunches for lunch (on our Epcot days) and then signature dinners at the resorts. We ate at Coral Reef, Le Cellier, and Chefs de France. All were really good!

This time (since we'll be on regular DDP and not DxDP), we'll continue to have the sit-down lunch and the QS dinner (so we won't feel tied down to anything towards the end of the day--especially with it being hot, we might eat later than usual or whatnot). But ... During our December trip, the two sit-down meals were fine, as long as we'd spaced them out enough (most of our lunches were set for around 11:30, except Chefs which didn't open until 12pm, and dinners were around 7pm or so).

When do the shows usually run?

I think the first show at Biergarten is at 1:00.

I've eaten both lunch and dinner at Coral Reef, and find it much more relaxed and quiet at lunchtime.

Show times For Biergartan are 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm as posted from WDW live entertainment website.

I prefer the San Angel Inn's lunch menu to the dinner menu. I would definitely book SAI for lunch again.

Our experience is San Angel, Tutto, Le Cellier and Chefs are all better for lunch than dinner...not as busy, cheaper prices and the food is excellent
