EPCOT plant question

in 2012 my daughter picked out a plant to take home from EPCOT- it was a tissue culture plant from their greenhouses, sold in a large "test tube" type container with a gel. Instructions indicated this and that to transplant and grow. Now, 3.5 years later, plant is alive but looking like it needs a bit of TLC. Instructions are lost, of course. Any suggestions on getting more info? Is there a section on any Disney website regarding these tissue culture souvenirs? Thx.

We bought one of these, too, but it didn't survive the trip home very well. We're also city dwellers and don't have any outside space to transplant it. I know exactly what you're talking about. The one we got wasn't a kalanchoe - of course I can't remember what it actually was. Do you have it in a pot indoors or is it outdoors? What symptoms are the plant showing that indicate it's not doing well? Maybe you can post a photo and we can help you identify the plant..

I seem to recall that it was a large tree type culture -my brain keeps thinking Sequoia, but not really sure. I recall that the directions indicated life in a pot for a couple of years, but it would need to be transplanted around year 3. The plant seems to like indirect or only some direct sunlight, it looks iffy because it goes through periods of the leaves (that look almost needle-like) going partially dry, yet other areas are fine, and new growth with still occur. My daughter keeps it watered, but not wet. She does mist it with water most days. We've transplanted it into bigger pots at least 2x, which it has handled well. I'm currently at a local summer festival and can't post pics now, but will try later.

when I went on the Keys to the Kingdom tour we were told that they have a horticultural team that can answer any questions you have about plants around the parks and resorts. Maybe you could call the main phone number or email guest services?

Here is the plant as it stands today (it is supported with a thick stick). It has grown, but the leaves definitely gets dry. Probably because it stays indoors mostly. When we have put it outside (shade or partial sun) it looks worse after a few days! I think this a Sequoia Redwood.
