all of these pictures are amazing,uncle greg i can look at your flicker page all day, i hope you dont mind but i have your illuminations pic as my background. i love it! and how many cameras do you have???lol. what camera do you recomend for a beginner.dont want to spend thousands though!

Thanks for the kind words...I really appreciate it. Sure you can use a shot for your background.

I only have one camera...a Nikon D90. Nowadays any of the DSLR's from Canon, Nikon, etc will be able to give you great results. It's more a matter of how much time you are willing to invest in the hobby that will improve your end results.

I don't know anything about the point and shoot style of cameras but I've heard great things about the Canon G11 if you don't want to go DSLR.
