epcot park reservations question

i made one day of my june trip a park reservation for Epcot. I didn't realize, and didn't do my due diligence with research first, that it opens at 11 a.m. We are early morning , rope drop family and i think i made a mistake. I will try to get a topollino's breakfast that morning first if i can get the adr. if not, should i switch the park reservation or epcot opens earlier then 11 a.m. unofficially and i shouldn't sweat it?

All parks are opening roughly 45 minutes before posted time. If you also have park hoppers and would rather hit up AK or MK earlier and go to Epcot at 2, go for it, otherwise, You’ll probably be fine waiting for 10 to get to the park.

Thank you. yes, i have park hoppers. maybe i will change it. even 10:15 is late for us early birds! BTW, does that mean if mk opens at 8 am they are unofficially opened at 7:15?

I certainly don't have the insights of all the folks on this forum, but I decided not to make a reservation for Epcot because it opens later and stays open later so I thought about this beeing a good park to hop to. However, I have a 3 day park hopper pass. If I had a 4 day pass, I would just reserve a day at each park and not fiddle with park hopping. For my 3 day reservations I did Magic, Hollywood, and Animal. I plan on staying at Magic and Hollywood all day and hopping from Animal to Epcot.

I think so many factors go into what makes a great day at Disney for you, just go with your instincts and have fun!

I am a little torn on my advice, so to figure out what I would do I have to ask:

1. Do you have park hoppers?
2. Do you do a mid day break?
3. What time do you typically end your day at the parks?

If the first two were YES, and if you stay up late (Epcot closes at 11pm) then if I were you I would switch the Epcot day for HS. This gives you another opportunity to get in a boarding group for ROR. We hopped to Epcot every night (granted we took mid day breaks and stayed at Epcot Resort) to have dinner and ride a few rides.

If you don't have hoppers, no mid day break, end your time at the parks early, and not staying at a close resort than I would stick to Topolino's and Epcot park reservation.

Yes, not all rides are open right away, but typically most of the e ticket rides do open sometime before official park opening.
