We are going to Disney April 13 - 20 during spring break. I know it will be crowded. We are only doing 3 parks, so my decision in between epcot and mgm. I know they will love MGM, but because it will be so crowded and most of the attractions are standing in lines for shows , would we be better off doing epcot? I really do want to do the Akershus dinner anyway? I don't know????? This will be our first real trip, we have visited the MK before while in orlando but only for the day! Thanks for any help!

I think it really depends what you and the kids like to do. These parks are so different. I have a DS5 and DD2 and they Love MGM. The afternoon parade is IMO the best parade Disney does. Lighten Mcqueen and Towmater are in the parade along with many of the Disney Princesses and Star Wars characters. DD2 loves playhouse Disney and voyage of the Little Mermaid. DS5 loves Tower of Terror and Star Tours. I would say the food at this park is the worst, but we as a family much prefer MGM. We went to Epcot one morning and didn't really much care for it. Soarin and Test track were fun, but didn't feel much Disney Magic. We did go back for EMH one night and ate at Le Cellier and went to Illuminations/walked around the different countries and enjoyed it. If you had park hoppers you could maybe do MGM from morning until after the parade, take a break and then head over to Epcot and do dinner, illumintations and a few of the popular rides. You may want to see if Epcot has the EMH at night while you are there and try for that night. They were open until 12 the night we were there. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

There is a huge difference in the two parks for your children's ages. We prefer MGM over Epcot but we really did enjoy Epcot last Aug. Any chance of getting a Park Hopper ticket and doing both. The shows at night are amazing and so different. There are some great shows for the the kids at MGM and the rides are really good if you even had to do a baby swap on some of them. Your children would really love the parade at MGM. Each park is a full day, as I am typing this, I really don't know what to tell you. Disney is Magic, maybe someone else will be better to tell you. The Living Seas has some good things for your children's ages. The new Nemo attraction should be out by then. The preview is next week. Good luck with your decision.
