Epcot or Magic Kingdom...which is better for adults w/o kids???

Help! My husband and I are heading back to WDW in May for our 1 year Anniversary. We were just there in March and went to Animal Kingdom and MGM ( we are FL residents and have one day left to use on a pass). What we can't agree on is which park would be better for us. I think MK and he thinks Epcot...since we have no kids. What is your opinion? We are both 32 yrs old. What is there to do for adults in the MK so we wont get too bored? We only have one day to see a park. We are staying at the CSR, so time constraints are not an issue! Thanks!!

That depends- what do you like? Normally, I'd say Epcot, since the World Showcase is full of restaurants, shops, and "grown-up" stuff. But if you're both the "Kids-at-heart" types, then you might have more fun at MK.

I love both parks for very different reasons.

I guess, for a romantic trip, I would pick Epcot because you have great choices for nice meals. And, it's fun to stroll, holding hands, through the shops of all the countries!

My DW and I really like EPCOT, especially in the evening. We often stay at the BW so we end the nights many times at EPCOT and walk back to our room. IllumiNations is always outstanding no matter how many times we see it! We also like the live entertainment, especially "Off Kilter" at "Canada". I just wish the Bass Ale at the Rose and Crown weren't so pricey.

We are looking forward to going during the Flower and Garden Festival for the first time in May!!

I'd say MK, mostly because I grew up with Disneyland and that says "Disney" to me. But I love Epcot and all the pavillions. If you want to shop, eat & relax, then I'd say Epcot. If you want to have fun being silly and running around, go to MK. I'm a 40-something and just love going on all the MK rides over and over again!

For an all adult trip I would vote for Epcot if I was only going to go to one park. There is Soarin opening there in May and it is fantastic. The food is spectacular. Also I think the crowds are more relaxing there for some reason.

The new attraction SOARING will be opening on May 5th, so that would make me want to go check it out even more. Can you park hop on your one day that you have left? If so, why dont you go to MK at rope drop, check out the new castle, ride until lunch time or early afternoon, and then take the monorail over to Epcot from early afternoon until closing? Then you get to do both!!

However if I really truly had to choose, with Soaring opening, plus Test Track being there (haven't done MS, but might even try that next time) and the Flower Show and, of course, World Showcase (!), I'd have to pick Epcot.

But the thought of not walking down Main Street, not riding IASM, Haunted Mansion, Buzz, Splash Mt., and seeing PhilHarmagic again -- plus Wishes and Spectro -- would eat away at me! Would have to Hop!

My dh and I both say MK, but we're both about 3 years old (times 12, LOL). I like the idea of doing MK in the a.m. and then taking the monorail to Epcot for the afternoon/evening.

If no hopping, I personally would choose MK. I depends on what what you both like. I would always choose MK, because HM, IASW, POC, etc, etc, etc, and the Castle are what I love most about WDW. MGM comes in second, then EP, then AK. If you are looking for a romantic day with international food choices, Epcot wins hands down. For me, though, there is no contest. MK MK MK MK MK!!!!

I say to both, Magic Kingdom is the greatest and Epcot is a very close second.

We're going overnight without the kids (this weekend! I'm not excited, can't you tell?), and are planning to close out the MK. To me, there's nothing more romantic than watching Wishes.

Epcot's nice too, but neither one of us are into restaurants, and my DH hates window shopping. I think it depends on what you two enjoy doing the most!

Another vote for Epcot! Wishes is very nice, and nothing against Mr. Cricket, but I'm much more moved by Illuminations.

Epcot, Epcot, EPCOT!!

Enjoy a nice stroll around the nations at World Showcase. We like to buy a piece of chocolate at each coutry or if you have the $$$ buy a Christmas ornament from each country or some folks like to have an alcoholic drink in each country. Just pick something to slow you down so you enjoy the shops and restaurants and you'll get to interact with one of the natives of each country.

Stroll your way through the "Lands" and enjoy all the interactive exhibits - Don't forget Innoventions - there are lots of interactive exhibits there.

To us, there is no comparison, for "Adult-time" at WDW we always choose EPCOT.

It all depends on your personal preferences.

For my husband and I...it would be MK, no contest. If you're a kid a heart, MK would be the way to go. But for others who like to stroll around and have less child oriented rides and such, Epcot would be the answer.
