We've got 5 days at WDW coming up in January. Two days at MK, one day at AK, and so far one day each at Epcot and one at HS. HS because DH and I are big Star Wars fans. But as I'm reading the boards, I'm realizing Epcot is really a two day park.

We're going with 14 family members from 9th to 17th and staying a few extra days beyond that ourselves, so DH and I could go later to HS. My mom is a big fan of HS and wants to go but my sis and her DH want to skip it. Sounds like a lot of HS will be closed when we're there, or at least under construction.

So with 6 kids, 5 of whom are 4 and under, do we do the 5th day at Epcot or HS? Voting is open!

I would definitely not skip Hollywood Studios. There is no way I would spend 2 days at Epcot. I realize I may be in the minority there. I find it boring. And my kids dislike it even more. We do go to Epcot, but one day is plenty.

I LOVE epcot and HS both equally. I definitely believe HS is a must do at least once a trip. True, it will be getting major upgrades as they expand the park. However, Rock n' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, The GREAT Movie Ride, Toy Story Mania, Muppet Vision 3D (I love this one and they're taking it away but not a "must do"), Star Tours, plus other attractions make this park a must at least once. I think one day in each will spread it out nicely IMO! Have a Magical trip!!!

Let me put it this way:

I love pizza. It is my favorite food. But I would rather have pizza one night, and steak the next instead of pizza 2 nights in a row.

The only thing if you go to HS with so much closed now; unless you want to do most attractions there you'll find yourselves having to repeat some to fill in time. But it could work with your family

Hollywood Studios! I think your kids would be more entertained there! Last time I went to Epcot my sister of age 6 got really tired of walking around to all the different worlds.

HS has always been my favorite park. If you look at the list of things that has closed, the only real major thing for our group has been Back Lot Tours. The other things that have closed were always "meh if we have time" attractions. Don't skip HS!

I don't think I have ever done any of the things that they have closed. The park is no different for me than it was a year ago.

I'd vote for a day at DHS also. If your DSis and her husband want to skip it, then let them! There's no rule that says you have to all be roped together for the entire stay. There's no bigger buzz kill than dragging around someone who doesn't want to be there. If you have an extra day at the end, do a second day at Epcot. We find it impossible to see and do everything that we want in Epcot in a single day.

Personally id vote HS also. I think that HS as a bit more to offer that the whole family can do together.

And I agree with Minnie mum too you don't have to all spend the entire time together you can ref branch off and do your own thing. On one of my trips my wife and I went with her family so we were a party of 7. Her family only wanted to do 4 parks days on a 7 day trip which I personally considered blasphemy lol. So we bought 6 day tickets and would go to the parks just myself and her and we were able to do all the stuff the WE wanted to do versus having to stick with the family and only do what everyone could agree on.

I'll echo what's been said above. As an adult, Epcot is my favorite park. But much of what I enjoy there would be lost on kids that young. My answer might be different if you had already done one day at each and we're trying to decide which one to go back to. But I wouldn't skip DHS entirely for a second day at Epcot.

Throwing my vote in for DHS. Your kids are the perfect age for it and with your DH being a Star Wars fan, it's awesome. But, if you have park hopper, then you could totally do a 1/2 day in both DHS and Epcot.

My vote is for DHS! I don't think this park should be skipped entirely. Even with some of the attractions that have closed there is still so much to do between rides and shows! If the kids like Disney Junior, there's a whole show just for them to sign and dance while they watch their favorite characters. TSMM is always a blast, and not to mention Star Tours for you Star Wars fans! I agree with what a PP said, if your sister and her husband want to skip it, then let them. Maybe meet up later for dinner or something if you guys really wanted to do something together that day.

I love Epcot and DHS, walking around world showcase (I call it around the world in 80 minutes :p) is so relaxing, but I'm going to have to vote for DHS here. Even with the recent closures and upcoming construction it's still a great park.

I love them both, but for your situation and the ages of the children I am also going to vote for HS! Plenty of fun to be had there for all ages.

DHS!
5 kids under 4?
Two words:
Disney Junior.

This is the only park that has meet-n-greets with Disney Junior Characters .. plus the Disney Junior puppet show is amazing for kids that age. My 3 year old son loved it. The look on his face was priceless.

Plus TSMM is probably the most fun I've had on a ride at WDW. It's just a shame it is so popular that it is hard to do repeat rides.

I would find DHS a more kid-friendly park than Epcot any day. World Showcase (and the amount of walking) will be a bore for kids that young.
