We will be visiting EPCOT on New Years Eve, and I'm wondering if the Disney characters will be around dressed in their Xmas outfits. Does New Years Eve have a Christmassy atmosphere or do we need to visit EPCOT before then. We are only in WDW for 5 days from the 29th and I'm struggling to fit everything into our itinerary so I'm wondering whether we need to visit EPCOT twice during that time if we want to see the Xmas stuff? We don't wish to see the Candlelight Processional by the way, as I know that finishes on the 30th.

All the holiday decorations will still be ip but just be prepraed for HUGE crowds and 1+ waits for most attractions.

If you are intent on seeing Epcot, and you don't have to go there on New Years, I would avoid the park and see it another day. (Unless you have specific plans to "do" New Years at one of the parks.) The characters won't be out as far as I remember; and the crowds are unbelievable. However, if you go there with this in mind, and plan on doing only a couple of attractions you will still have a great time. The fireworks are unbelievalbe. It's also a must to have dining reservations in place, or you will NOT be able to eat at a sit-down restaurant.
