EPCOT morning EMH help?

We are doing morning EMH at EPCOT and I wanted to get your feedback from those who have done this at to what was your strategy? Where did you go in that extra hour? What worked and what did not? How were the crowds as compared to a normal rope drop? How does EPCOT distinguish between resort and non-resort guest at the gate entrance?

As background, this trip is more for the grandparents than the kids as we go several times a year with our AP and the grandparents have never been. We have not done morning EMH but with the grandparents, we thought this would be better because once it gets crowded they will want to leave.

After reviewing which attractions were open for EMH my plan was to do Soarin first, Living with the Land, then head to Nemo and Turtle talk, then head to Test Track (and assume the park will be open), maybe Mission Space for the kids, Imagination. My thought was this would be less walking and not have to criss-cross the park to hit the top rides. Probably going to leave around noon and come back that evening for the countries. For FP I was got to get Frozen and Space Ship Earth, not sure yet about the 3rd pass.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

1. Lower.
2. A CM with a hand-held scanner checks a MB from each group about to enter the gates.
That screens for WDW Resort guests.
3. A good plan.
4. Good.
5. Not so much.

10 Yes, but a waste of major time at rides that will not be very busy after regular hours opens.
11.Yes.

More walking, but likely better use of time:
Soarin'
Test Track
Mission Space
Nemo Clamshells
Turtle Talk
(EMH likely over in there someplace.)

Then, any of those other low-demand attractions.
