For those of you who’ve been to MM at EP in the last 2 years, do you remember if it sold out during the onsite guest registration period? I always have to call because the system never “sees” my onsite reservation. It’s super annoying. I’m planning on calling ahead of time like I always do. In case things still aren’t sorted out that morning when I go to register, I wanted to know if it booked up quickly last year.

I booked it last year on the second date during the all member time window. I had a choice of either day too.

Thanks! Was it worth going to in your opinion? We’re debating because there are so few rides at EP. We honestly only go for the rides. The character experiences don’t really matter to us.

If it's the one on 5/4, Ill be there, so you really don't need to ask if its worth it. That is just obvious. Plus it's free.

Given that Epcot has 3 rides that tend to have long lines(Test Track, Soarin, ans FOE) and you can only make a FP for one, I think its a great chance to get your fill of the other 2 without the normal lines.

I know it’s free. It’s just super annoying that I ALWAYS have to call them because it never shows up that I have an onsite reservation. It takes forever too. I’ve had a bunch of IT tickets opened about this, and they always tell me they don’t see any issues because they can see the reservation, but MM booking is done by a 3rd party. :/ I wanted to be sure it was worth the 30 min-an hour I have to explain it beforehand.

I honestly don’t remember if it filled quickly two years ago. As for rides at Epcot...test track was closed for refurb this week, don’t know when that will be ready. The front part of Epcot is a huge mess right now. They are digging up the big fountain, they tore down the building where the character meet and greets were, MouseGear moved into innoventions so I guess they are getting ready to gut that too. Soarin was open for MM, I think the globe was, and the frozen ride was. There was some kind of medical emergency on test track so that line was an hour. That being said, we had a great time.....we used our vouchers at sunshine seasons, enjoyed walking around with less crowds (world showcase was not opened except for Frozen....but due to the construction they may do something different) and the special fireworks display was really nice.

I went twice in the past, last year (May) and I think October the year before. It was sold out both times, but as I recall, not right away. With the present condition of EPCOT, I wouldn't worry about it too much, as there wasn't much to do even back then. Except the special fireworks that were great. World showcase was completely closed. I honestly don't know what you'd go for now. If you do go, I recommend you get there early, while WS is still open for the night. LWTL also closes before dark.

We are planning to go to the June 29th one at Epcot. It'll be our first Moonlight Magic event and we will have some guests with us. I've seen that the event usually starts around 9 pm with check-in starting at 6 pm. Some of our guests do not have park tickets for that day. Will they be able to enter with us after we check in at 6? or will they have to wait until 9 to enter?
This is really more of an issue now that I see that the World Showcase doesn't stay open during the event.

Once they have the bracelet, they can get into the event without a park ticket.

We went last year in May and loved it. If the timing worked out (which it didn't this year), would do it again.
The only issue we had, was at the resort, every person had to be at the front desk to get their bracelet, and they put it on the guest right then. You needed a photo id as well.
Our favorite part was the characters, unusual ones and great interactions. And the special fireworks show.
I believe the May one sold out with onsite guests.

That’s the way the AK one worked last year too. If your whole party was not with you, you could not get all the bracelets. But it’s not consistent from resort to resort, and event to event. So who knows what it will be like this time.
But yes, your party can usually be admitted a few hours before park closing.

This year, I got all the bracelets at the Poly.

This is good information also. We are staying at OKW, so it may be easier to get our bracelets there.

We got our bracelets at OKW in Jan......5 minute wait. We went about 6:15 to pick them up

I wonder if the new Remy ride will be available for the event. That is disappointing that the World Showcase would be closed during the event, I had not thought of that before.

We were staying at Kidani. Other resorts may do it differently.
