Epcot Monorail

The skyliner can run at nearly full capacity since it's one group per gondola. The way they have the monorail, I think it's four groups per cabin which means sixteen groups per train. That means the throughput will be paltry.
The Skyliners are nowhere near capacity. Each gondola can hold up to 10 adults. Once this pandemic is over, they will once again be packing multiple parties in like sardines in a can. They have also become pretty crafty with plexiglass and such on the monorail. They can now put multiple groups in each door of the express monorail.

Each gondola is, but there are tons of gondola's on the line. I believe there are usually four monorails on the Epcot line. A trip from one station to the other takes 15 minutes. That means that the trains can do about two circuits of the track per hour each. That means you have 8 trains full of people going to Epcot from TTC and 8 trains doing the opposite journey. That just doesn't move a lot of people in the current environment.

Did I miss it? Is there any projected opening for the monorail? I'll probably delay my trip to WDW until then - just doesn't feel like the full experience without the monorail!
The monorail being talked about is the Epcot monorail. The resort and express monorails are still operating. However the resort monorails are not stopping at the Poly because the station is being rebuilt.

So you can still get your monorail fix, just not between the TTC and Epcot
