How long of a trip is it to get from Epcot to the Contemporary Resort using the monorail?

You actually have to take a monorail from Epoct to the Transportation and Ticket Center first. This takes about 10 min. Then you need to switch monorails and get on the resort monorail. This has three stops before you get to the Contemporary. So again about 10 min ride.

So depending on the wait, I would estimate a minimum of 30 minutes. Maybe longer if you have to wait for the monorail.

If you have an ADR at the Contemporary, plan on an hour for travel, just to be safe. It's not uncommon to have to wait 10-15 minutes or so for a monorail.

Another option is to take the bus to MK and then just cross the street to the Contemporary.

That won't work as there is no bus from Epcot to MK.

The Epcot to TTC monorail is fast but the resort monorail can take some time depending on stops. I'd allow at least 45 minutes-1 hour.

Yes, your right, I just re-read the post, sorry about that. I was thinking that whatever resort they were at they could just take the bus to MK and then just get to the Contemporary from there.

because there can be alot of people standing - the monrails aren't as fast as they use to be.

a fast bus can be faster.

that say as mention there is no bus.

now there use to be a bus to TTC - but they did away with it several years ago.

Yes, but you could take the monorail from Epcot to TTC and then walk from there. That is what I would do.

there is another route - but it might not be better.

take the bus to Studios, then take a bus to the CR.

also you can walk over to the BC, then take a bus to the MK and walk over to the CR.

That would not be safe nor would it save time IMO. There are no sidewalks between the TTC and the CR.

Pat, I don't think there was ever a bus to the TTC from Epcot. There used to be buses from the resorts to the TTC but no longer.

Another the option the OP could do is this. Once they arrive at the TTC they could take the Express Monorail to the Magic Kingdom and from there either get on the Resort Monorail, if it happens to be at the station or walk to the Contemporary.

If you have an ADR at Chef Mickey's or something like that, I'd allow 45-60 minutes for the trip. If everything goes well, you shouldn't need more than 45 minutes. If it doesn't, you might. :)
