Epcot May 5th - Hours?

Ok, I know the big 50th starts off that day, but does anyone know why Epcot is closing at 3:00p.m. that day? All I've seen concerning the "kick off" is that it is a "media event". Are there any special activities that day that I'm unaware of? Thanks for any info.

Epcot is closing at 3pm that day for a media event that evening. The park closes early to prepare for a large-scale press event that will take place throughout the park. The party is for press and invited guests only.
