Epcot Main Entrance to World Showcase?

What is the best way, fastest way to get to the WS from the Main Entrance. We have an ADR for Biergarten & will probably need to get there asap upon entering. DH will be watching the world cup that morning at POR, while I'm at the pool, and browsing the shops. I didn't know the World Cup was going to be the first morning of our vacation when I made plans. Any advice?

Straight through Future World, left around the lagoon to Germany.

Forgive me it's been 14 years since I've been to WDW. I'm looking at a map, We can walk through Space Ship Earth? Straight through or do we dodge left or right around it?

Nope. Couldn't walk straight under the ball when Epcot opened. Still can't. You need to dodge SE and the building attached behind it then up through the center of Innoventions.

If you look at the Epcot post (post 3) of Robo's Maps of WDW by Robo - 65 maps and more and go to the 3rd picture of that post, you'll see the pink path from the front of the park around to Norway which is the same path you'd want.

If you are coming from a WDW hotel or the parking lot, you will need to enter through the main Epcot entrance as quickest. If you are coming from another park, take a bus to the Beach Club or Boardwalk and enter through the International Gateway and go right around world showcase to Germany.

You can take Lyft to either Epcot entrance (front or IG) to save time. If going to IG take Lyft to BC.

Walking from the Beach Club parking lot, through the Beach Club lobby, out to the sidewalk, over to the International Gateway,
then around to Germany would be substantially shorter than walking from the Epcot front gates to Germany.
It is a bit shorter, but not too much.

Germany is one of the most "distant destinations" from an Epcot entrance.

As pp showed, its not much different either way. The line coming into EPCOT will probably be longer at security at the front enterance. However, if you are coming later in the day, the line may not be too long. If you arrive with extra time, you may even be able to do a few attractions on your way to Germany.

I wonder if the ESPN club on the Boardwalk will open early for World Cup games? I think it normally opens at 11. If he could watch it there it would be easy to enter through the IG.
