Epcot Kidcot Stops and Sharpie Markers

hey - that clairfies the e-mail i got from sharpie this morning inviting me to enter their Disney Vacation sweepstakes. (i purchase a lot of sharpie products via their website for my workplace - they send me promos contstanly.) Disney and Sharpie are sharing the love now apparently.

Not to highjack this thread, but thanks for the info Lori. I registered for the vacation sweepstakes and had fun taking the personality test. I am Cinderella. Who knew?!? I never thought of myself as a princess before, but maybe I can relate to Cinderella!

Not to cause trouble or anything but I have a 4 year old and when we were there(10/7 -10/14) she had no trouble with the sharpies. Yeah she got a little on her hand, it washed off. Either my husband or I sat with her and helped her get the marker she was wanting, and she was fine. She wasn't off coloring things she wasnt suppose to be nor was she marking on herself. I think crayons on the mask wont show up good, and washable markers like a previous poster said would run if the mask got wet. Personally I would rather have a kid with a little marker on their hands, then a kid who is upset because her mask got ruined.

Hmmm...all the countries must have received fresh ones. We were there on Sunday (10/22) and Sharpies were everywhere.

I always buy ds5 and ds9 new washable markers and drawing paper for our airplane ride down to MCO. Looks like we'll keep them in our park back pack and use those for their kidcot masks.

Sharpies are non-toxic, so I wouldn't worry about small kids getting anything but a bit messy with them. We actually make temporary tattoos with them during the summer.

Are the face masks shiny cardboard on both sides now? I remember them being shiny on one side and dull/textured on the other, like posterboard. The crayons and waterproof markers would work nicely on the dull side, even if the stick was on that side.
