Okay, if the EMH for Epcot are in the PM and we'd only be going in the afternoon, will we still be able to ride (and/or get a FastPass) for Soarin'? What time does Future World close when there are EMH?

My brother and his family are going for 4 days next month and have never ridden Soarin' - I keep telling him how great it is, but if they're not going until the afternoon.....

Help!

Thanks in advance.

Fastpasses run out quickly for Soarin'. You could have them try when they first arrive and take any time they can get and then visit everything else. They could wait in line, but it is usually long. It is one of the those rides I think is worth it.

We did Soarin' during EMH in early Sept. and had to wait about 30 minutes without a fastpass (they had run out by then). This was off season though, so it may be longer at this time of year. I would recommend a fastpass, but be prepared to wait in any case.

Future World closes at midnight during EMH. Some of the restaurants in World Showcase are open rather late as well, until 10 pm I believe.

I rode Soarin' last Friday...got my fastpass around 11:00am and our time was for 1 pm. Today, 12/19 fastpasses were gone by noon and there was a 230 MINUTE wait on the standby line. Granted, today was an incredibly crowded day, but still.......

Fast passes for it were gone by noon yesterday....

Next month might not be so bad.....

We got there in the afternoon in August and the FPs were gone. The wait said 70 mins but I'm sure it wasn't that long or maybe the people around us and the air conditioning made the wait so pleasant it just didn't matter. I'm used to waiting for rides at Six Flags Great America near Chicago out in the hot sun and for a new coaster up to 2 hours. Anyway whatever the wait we LOVE LOVE LOVED the ride and would have waited twice as long. I'd say go expecting to wait but don't miss it just because of the wait.

My husband and I were at Epcot on the evening of Friday, 12.9.05. We went to Soarin' at about 7:30...there was an 80 minute wait. This lady had a few extra Fastpasses and gave us two of them! We waited about 20 minutes with the Fastpass. I noticed though that she had gotten them around 3:00 p.m., and the return time was between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

We went to Epcot on our arrival day the Sunday after Thanksgiving. By the time we got to the park it was close to 1 and I thought for sure FP's would be gone...we went straight to the Land to pick one up and had a return time of 6:00. We were surprised to see the stand by line was only 40 minutes so we did stand by and then used our FP later....we must have been fortunate to ride it twice in one day! It was truly wonderful.....

We went to Epcot twice during the off season and they ran out of fast passes for Soarin', literally, by 10 AM. There was a sign and a CM outside of The Land saying that all Fast Passes for Soarin' for the day had been distributed! For the rest of those days the wait time was two hours, according to the board behind Spaceship Earth (on the back side of the pin trading station). We verified this several times by actually going to entrance Soarin', and it said 2 hours Standby there as well.

We've only ridden it once, after its soft opening. It was really neat, although the transition from one scene to the next was often abrupt and awkward. Still, the experience is very cool, but I would not wait in line for more than 20 minutes, because it feels as though it only last 60 seconds. Definitely go straight to Soarin' as soon as the park opens or get a fast pass if you can.

We got FastPasses yesterday around 11pm, with a return time of 3:15-4:15pm. The remaining FP's were gone a couple of hours later. When we returned at 3:15pm the wait time for Standby was 200 minutes (ouch!).

They can certainly try for a FP. Maybe good luck with be with them! :)

On Friday we went to get a fast pass around 3:30 for soarin and it wasn't until 8:40-9:40..and we were going to be at mvmcp at that time. The wait was about 50 minutes...we weren't going to do it w/4-5 year old boys...so we didn't go on. Luckily we went on w/ds in september.

Even if you don't get fastpasses i'd definetly wait in line. It's something you don't want to miss when visiting EPCOT. The line was shorter towards the evening when we were there, at least it was last week.

Just went at the end of October. FPs for Soarin' were usually gone for the entire day by about 2:00 p.m. And this wasn't even supposed to be a busy time of year!

One thing about stand-by waiting times . . . I was asked a couple of times by CMs to help out with timing the standby wait. They will hand you a red plastic card at as you walk in, asking you to give it the last CM you see right before you board the ride. They then apparently communicate with each other and update the sign stating the stand-by time. I have never seen that before - thought it was a cool way to post a pretty accurate stand-by time. We often saw stand-by times at Soarin' of over 90 minutes in October.

It's one of my favorite rides - would be worth trying to see, even if you had to do stand-by, IMO.

We were there on Dec. 2nd and again on Dec.7th, and did Soarin' twice each time. The first time, we arrived a little later than we wanted but went straight there and got fastpasses. They were for about an hour after our arrival time and the wait was about an hour, so we just got in the standby line, did the ride, and then went back through on the fastpass line. Then the next time, it was a rainy day and we got there early and the line-up was fairly short, so we just got into the stand-by line. We needed to do a "baby swap" and the CM explained that rather than do a regular baby swap, they just gave us a fastpass - good for three people - that we could use at any later time. That worked out great for us since we had four adults (and two young kids) so three of us went one time, and then we used the fast pass to do it again.

We were there on 12/15 (a Thursday). The posted wait time at 11:45 was fifty minutes. We were pleased that we got on the ride in about 30 minutes. We picked up a fast pass for two hours later. It was an incredible ride.

By comparison, we practically walked on to Mission Space (under 5 minute wait) and Test Track (no wait).
