My choices are:
1. After 2pm to one park-$39.00
2. All day/1 day/1 park- $95.45
3. All day/2day/Park Hopper-$95.45
Are these good deals? What are the 'normal' prices for #1 and #2? I have bought packages on my two previous trips. Anyone?
Perhaps I'm a little confused. My opinions and my question:
Option #1: It's about the "right price." Whether it's good or not is up to interpretation. My after-four passes are always about $33, so six bucks for a couple more hours sounds about right. Note that a "regular" day pass is $53.25 (I think). So if you don't have the whole day (most of my conferences run through lunch), then it's a great deal. On the other hand, if you've got all day, why not go all day, if the cash is there? That brings up my confusion....
Option #2: Do you mean $95.45 for a 1 day/1 park pass, or $45.45? I sure wouldn't pay ninety five bucks for a one day pass, but I'm assuming it's a typo. So it's a pretty simple equation. What's five hours more in the park worth to you? You can get in at nine instead of two with the 1 day/1park pass. I'd need to know the price to know if it's a good one. But know that anything over ten percent off list (which again is $53.25) is considered "good."
Option #3: Now this is a horse of a different color. Two single park passes would cost $106.50. They're giving you a two day hopper for about $95. That's a good deal. Number one, it's well over ten percent off list for two days in the park. Number two, it's not a ticket available on the regular market. The smallest hopper pass Disney sells is a four day, although there are places that sell three day (that would cost you about $160, give or take). Let me know if the three day pass interests you.
If it's me, I go with the two day hopper. You get two full days for a bargain price, and you don't limit yourself to one park. This allows you to visit three or four of the parks in two days, which is nice. And if you're at MGM and you get bored (unlikely) or the crowds get too heavy (a better potential reality), you go out the front gate, hope on a nice air-conditioned boat, and twenty minutes later you walk into Epcot.
So for flexibility and price, I'd say the first two options are what they are. The third options is a real deal.
Let me know if you want info on those three day passes. Are you at all interested in the "night life," meaning Pleasure Island? There are discounts out there, you just have to find them!
