This is a little off-topic for this forum, and is originally posted to the Collector's Board, but we felt that readers should be aware of it.
My wife (JudySue) and I have made arrangements for an Epcot IllumiNations Dessert Party on Tuesday, August 20, 2002. It will start approximately 45 minutes before IllumiNations, and run until the end. It will be open to anyone on the Board (plus their guests) who has paid in advance. Local people are welcome. Although it is the night before the Disneyana Event, it is not only for
Disneyana attendees. Judy normally posts on the Collector's Board, while I am active on this forum. Also, the location will be accessible.
The menu will include:
Pastries in Miniature to include: Almond Canoes, Cannolis, Eclairs, Gourmet Brownies and Cakes, Tiramisu, Chocolate Pecan Diamonds, Italian Amaretto Cream Cake and Fruit Tarts
Vanilla Ice Cream, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce and Colorful Sprinkles
Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Iced Tea and Lemonade
The cost for each person will be $ 41.00. This covers the party, gratuity, tax, and the security host who will only allow in those people on the list. Children under age three will be free, otherwise everyone must pay. The minimum attendance must be at least 20, and our break-even point is 32.
We have not yet been promised a specific location, but it will be one of the special viewing areas close to the lagoon level. More than likely it will be the one near the Rose and Crown.
I am handling the administrative details. Please send e-mail to me at mike@tuchman.org with the real and board names of everyone in your group who is planning to attend. We have to have a deposit in to Disney to hold the space; we intend to send them the deposit money by May 15 provided there is sufficient interest. We have to have the full payment to Disney a month in advance, so we must have payment in hand (check or money order only no credit cards, PayPal, etc) no later than July 2.
If you have any question, please contact either of us directly (JudySue's e-mail is judy@tuchman.org), or post to the board.
