Hi All:)

Ok so i did my long rant in the other post I just did titled frustrated:woohoo:

Now, Does anyone have the ceremony at the Epcot Germany Location? What did you think? Has anyone seen it during their planning sessions? I really like it from the pics i've seen on Disneyweddings.com but haven't seen a ceremony set up yet.

Anyone have any pics?
Can you only have this location in the morning? It says on the Disney site that this location can only be used from 9:00-10:30. I know Disney will state one thing but will do another, anyone have there's at night? Thanks!:flower3:

Unfortunately I can't help you with pictures from a wedding in Germany but I do love the way this country looks. We are interesting in a wedding in Italy and I know it has to be done early in the morning and had to end before WS opens at 11:00.

Our wedding was not in the Germany pavillion but rather in the UK pavillion. They are not kidding about the timeframe. We had a 9am wedding. There are definate pluses to this time. One being cooler weather for your guests, also you can have the park to take pictures in without alot of guest. We got great shots with Randy Chapman! The other bonus is that your reception is earlier so that you can do a brunch or lunch which is cheaper and people still have the day to play. The downside is the early time. I was up at 5am in order to get ready that day. I guess it really didn't matter that much as I was not sleeping the best anyway. I loved our Epcot wedding b/c it was definately a unique venue. If you have any other questions just ask!

Thanks for replying! Ok I do have more questions now that you mention it :goodvibes

Ok, can you have cinderella's Coach or the horse drawn carriage take you to the Epcot location?

Second, Did you feel rushed for pics having your reception before 2pm?

I was thinking if you are done by 10:30, then have to take pics would your reception start at twelve and then only last two hours?

Thanks so much for your help!

Why does the reception have to start by 12 and be done by 2? Is this because of the cheaper pricing? If so, you only have to have started the reception by 2, not be done by 2.

And I second everything Jonette said, we had ours in Italy at 9 a.m. Cocktail hour started at 10 am and we saved tons of money by having brunch instead of dinner, and our alcohol bill was super cheap! We were able to meet Randy at Epcot at 8 a.m. and get tons of pics in the park!

Maybe I should roll down a timeline for everyone.

I was up the morning of at 5am. Hair and makeup for myself started at 5:30, Leif showed up at 7:15 with Randy Chapman and Stan from STVS. In addition my neice was there to get her hair and makeup done.

7:15 we did pictures around the resort and filming with Stan for our video opening and then we headed out to Epcot. By 8 am the families and bridal party were at our location. We took pictures around Epcot in Canada and there in the UK real quick and got hidden from everyone else who arrived about 8:50.

The ceremony started pretty much at 9 am and ended by 9:30. From 9:30-10:30 we took the family and friends photos at the location. Around 10:30 our guests left for the reception and we stayed behind with Randy. We took pictures in Italy and then headed to the reception venue.

We arrived aroun 11:15 or so and that is where the guestbook.com idea came in place. We had our DJ (Charles Miles whom I ADORE) playing relaxing cajun music since I am from Louisiana, and people where filling out the guestbook.com pages. We arrived and then kicked off the party. Leif and I departed aroun 2:30 and everyone else left around 3pm.

I hope the timeline helps people!!

Now onto the other questions:

Yes you can have the carriage but my understanding is that it will not meet you at your resort and then drive you all over. I think you are going to have to meet the carriage in Epcot and then get in. You may want to check with your planner.

I really did not feel rushed at all with my pics. We also had an Illuminations party and that was another chance to get some photos in. Just realize you are not going to get EVERYTHING! Just plan for the large things and then let the little ones happen. You will get pics from your guests and everyone to help fill in those moments.

I think your reception is guaranteed for 3 or 4 hours. Keeping in mind how early your guests got up, and the concentration time of some guests this is about right. The cost savings alone with a brunch was really worth it. We did not have a bar b/c it was so early and saved money there as well.

If you have any more questions just PM me! That is the easiest way to get ahold of me quickly.

That totally helps! Thanks Jonette!

I think the problem is is that my DF doesn't want to see me until after the ceremony. I dont have too much of a porblem with it, but he reallys wants that 'magic moment' of seeing me walk down the aisle. I guess that's why I'm worried about time.

I also assumed that to qualify for a 'lunch reception' your reception had to be finished by two, not start by two.

I really think that having a lunch reception and then a dessert party is a great idea. I'll definitely have more questions, but for me it's time for bed. I could stay up all night reading these boards!

Thanks for answering my questions! I'll definitely have more in the morning!

The Disney people can keep you seperated if you wanted. It would happen just like any other wedding. Put you in one place and have him do his thing and then swap or whatever. Just let your coordinator know this ahead of time. Just take the family pics and the bridal party pics first. That should be easy to fit in. We had brunch not lunch. The brunch was good even though it was lunch time. Remember that some of the locations for receptions are working restraunts and they need time to clean and reset for the dinner hour. The kids made a mess at CG with the confetti tissue paper things that we had in their gift bags!!! It ended up being a war as they were throwing it at me. It was alot of fun!
