Epcot FPs, does this work?

We are planning a late January trip. I just finished booking my ADRs. I am a bit worried about Epcot with the tiering. We have a PPO Akershus at 8am. If we do that will be done and able to get a jump on the line for FEA? Then head straight to Test Track and still get on without too bad of a wait? That way I can make my Tier 1 FP for Soarin'. In my head this sounds like a great plan, but I have never done a PPO ADR and I wonder how long that takes plus how early they will let people start lining up for FEA. Any input? Shall I make a change? I also have an ADR for Akershus lunch and could cancel the PPO if you think there is a better way to do this, but I think the breakfast seems like it will be our best bet.

I would book the FP for Frozen. I would hate to rush through the meal to get in line. The waits at Soarin haven't been that bad since they added the third room, and you can always use the singles line for Test Track.

I believe FEA FP return times start at 11:00am. It would be standby up until then..

Where did you hear that? It doesn't make sense that FEAs FP+ would operate differently than every other ride at Disney... I'm pretty sure FP+ for FEA starts at 9.

OP, I wouldn't want to stress myself out while eating over thinking about whether or not I could get on a ride. However, others have reported success with asking for the check as soon as the drinks come and eating at a fairly quick pace and then getting on FEA. It's kind of dependent on your personality. If you're going to worry all through breakfast, I'd get a FP+ for FEA, rope drop Soarin' (you mentioned cancelling your breakfast), and then doing TT in standby (utilizing the single rider line to get through faster if you want).

Moderator hiroMYhero (who is kinda a FP+ guru) talks about it on multiple threads.

Here's one from yesterday: http://www.disboards.com/threads/frozen-first-fp-11-05-am.3529511/#post-56163670

Granted I haven't even looked into FP return times as I can't (don't have my tickets connected to my account yet nor do I have a reservation within a 60day window) but just going off what I've seen in multiple threads.
