It will be interesting to see if this is a temporary glitch, a step on the way to something else, or something more permanent.

If it does become permanent, it would obviously create a big edge for the informed guests who know that they can do that.

My guess is that it may just be another little test for Disney to see how many guests will know about that and take advantage of it. I don't expect it to stay this way for long.

One other thing today. Two of my daughters who are teachers have a trip scheduled during their spring break (week of April 13). They got one of those packages the other day that included a magnet with their key dates, and it showed February 12 (tomorrow) as the day when they could start making FP+ reservations. But, when I looked today (they are in my Friends and Family list) they could actually make reservations today.

BTW, I also confirmed that I could make FP+ reservations for April 17 at DHS and Epcot and could change a Tier 2 reservation to a Tier 1.

You couldn't do this before- it is a change in the system- meaning it is intentional or a really big sudden glitch. I wouldn't be surprised if you're able to do this in 19 days.

Hope you are right, no tiers would make even FP+ more palatable for us, mid season 3 tiered FP really = 1 FP.

This would be good news, and it got me thinking in a hopeful way ...

Do you guys think its possible WDW will build in work arounds, on purpose, but not advertise them ? This would still give the hardcore users ways to maximize, though not to the extent they did before, while still reaching out to the average user and trying to increase their experience ???

It sounds like a good idea to me ... whether this has been thought of on their end... who knows ?

Many many thanks to the OP for posting this! I just now added Test Track and Rock n' Roller Coaster to my FP+.

It is certainly possible- much like WDW didn't advertise that you could use legacy FP after their return times- but it was allowed.

I'm going to look into my crystal ball and guess it is a temporary glitch on the way to something else. My guess is that long term you will still be able to pre-book with tiers but once in park and you've used some FP+ you will be able to book more. This may just be a step along that path by way of programing.

Other guesses? Temporary glitch also completely posssible

If others have been unsuccessful in changing FP+ to more than 1 Tier 1 attraction previously then I, personally, doubt it is a gltich. I hope that it is an intentional change.

I wonder if they are trying to create "positives" at this point, going into spring break planning windows.

It seem as if the rollout so far has been pretty carefully orchestrated so that even with some complaints, enough groups have been given perks to create some positive stories.

If this new "glitch" turns out to be on purpose, I wonder what other stuff they're going to "give back" for the upcoming summer season. It's all about getting us to readjust our thinking.

This happened to me too, but when I went to view all my FPs, they were all listed. I also had the opposite happen where I had 4 FPs listed when in fact I only had 3. It showed that I had 2 Soarin FPs! My excitement was shortlived because it was not listed in my full FP list. I think the web page sometimes needs to refresh to update. This all sounds very glitchy to me. As long as they don't 'undo' my new selections I'll be happy.

Awesome news as I am just 26 days away from going!

I just changed a handful of FP+ that I had. Switch out a couple of the Nemo throwaway FP+ and added Soarin one day and Test Track on another. So now I have FP+ for both Test Track and Soarin on the same day for the two days we will be at Epcot. Also at HS, I was able to book Rockin Roller Coaster and Toy Story on the same days as well.

I mean, if this is a work around on purpose for those in the "know" great, leave it be.... but if this is intentional, I really wish they would TELL us ... instead of having us stress/worry about it.

I know for some of you FP isn't really an issue, but for us, the difference between 3 Tiered FPs and 3 untiered, is night and day.... I might trade off the 6 FPs per day we will for 3 untiered pre-bookable ... maybe.

Mine took a little bit to update also. On one change it showed that only one member of our party had the new restervation and the other one only showed two people had it. I gave it some time, refreshed and went back in and it now shows all 4 people of our party are on the same schedule.

Thank you!!! Changed HS to have TSMM and RNRRC and Epcot to have TT and Maelstrom and it has improved my view of FP+ 100%!!!!!!! Still have tons of ghost FP showing though.....if they could fix that I'd be a really happy camper!
