Where are these, and are they intended for kids to play in? Wondering if we should bring a suimsuit for them. Will they see many kids playing in the fountains and want to jump in, or do just a few play in the water? We leave for Disney Saturday.

There is one near Mission: Space, and the other is in the vicinity of Journey into Imagination, close to where World Showcase begins. There are generally quite a few kids playing in them, especially if it's a hot day, and yes, your kids will probably want to join in. Bring a swimsuit or a change of clothes if you don't want them walking around wet, because they will get soaked! My kids have always loved the fountains--I wish more of the parks had them.

Edited to add: Just so you know, the "fountains" are jets of water splashing around on the sidewalk--there's no actual body of water to get into.

Thanks for the info! I'm assuming they will get DRENCHED - so we'll need towels, too (7 yr old DD has thigh long hair). I guess I can find a locker.

My kids (5 &3 last trip) LOVED the fountain outside the Imagination pavillion. I probably can't explain it sensibly but it shoots a stream of water from one "platform" to the next, including shooting over the walkway. You can EASILY stay out of the water and not get wet but the kids love to figure out the pattern and try to jump into the stream. It's a really cool fountain and hilarious to watch the kids playing in it. My kids got soaked.

If I remember correctly the other fountain by Mission Space is a pop-jet fountain- lots of holes in the ground and water randomly shoots up out of different holes. A soaker as well. My kids definitely needed dry clothes!

When we go to Epcot, I have DS wear his swim trunks & comfortable sandals that can get wet. (Flip flops are not conducive to all of the walking at Epcot). This way, he's ready to play in the fountains as soon as he sees them. He's 8 now though, and getting a little old for the fountains....I don't think he played in them during our last trip.
