I've never been to Epcot, and I'm wondering would my almost 5 YO DS enjoy it. I'm thinking about doing just a short day there on our trip in Jan. What is there for the preschool crowd to do?

The only reason I'm thinking about going is so I can ride Soarin' anyone know the height requirement on Soarin' is?

Thanks for your help

I was worried my DD (who turned 4 the week after our trip) wouldn't enjoy Epcot - but she LOVED it!!

The Soarin height requirement is 40 inches
he will also probably love test track and Figment

Living Seas and Turtle Talk with crush is a MUST SEE! Especially since the refurb!

In World Showcase - they have kidcot stations and the kids make masks and can color them and collect tags at each country for them - it is free and my DD loved this - she asks to go back all the time to make masks!

My DD has been to EPCOT as a 3, 4, and 5 y.o. and has loved it each time. She has always loved Spaceship Earth and insiste on riding it over and over even when she was 3. The previous poster also mentioned the KidCot stops which she always liked too. I wouldn't hesitate to take your DS. There is plenty to keep him entertained.

My 5 yr old loved Innoventions at Epcot.

The part he especially liked (as did my 7 yr old) - one was Plasticworks, where you build your own plastic robot by snapping together different pieces (selecting their favorite colors) and you get to keep it. They even wanted to go back another day to get another robot, so we went twice.

Another fun part of Plasticworks is the robot race, which is done on a group of computer screens with pressure sensitive mats (sort of like running in place). You design your robot on the screen and then you race against all of the other participants.

I have a 3 year old dd and she loves Epcot! Spaceship Earth is her favorite, but she also enjoys Living Seas, Journey into Imagination, Living with the Land, El Rio del Tiempo, Maelestrom, playing in the exhibits in Innoventions (make a robot, computer games, ect...), visiting the Kidcot stations, Honey I Shrunk the Audience.....There's really so much to do! She is only 36 inches, so she is too small for Soarin' and Test Track, but we still have plenty to do.

Thanks, I think we'll try a half day there. Our flight won't get in until 10 pm. So, I was planning on sleeping in the next day I know we should be there when the park opens, but I don't think we'll push ourselves that day.

Just a word of warning - the soaring Fastpasses go pretty quickly - when I was there the 2nd week of October - they were gone by 12:00 - the standby line was 90 minutes when I went back with my FP at 7:00 that night

Ditto what everybody has said. Epcot is my DSs' favorite after MK, and they are 3 and 6yo.

Also, don't forget to check out the miniature train in Germany. And you can get a passport and have it stamped in every country.
